Safety Concerns

Heya! So I was on Native American Territory (my aunt’s house), and I was feeling the trees and talking to them. I do this other places all the time.

One of the trees was ice cold. It threatened me. And now I’m being pursued by many Native American spirits. They seem very angry with me.

I’m confused and I don’t know what to do.

Any advice on protective magick?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried apologizing? It seems you may have offended a land spirit so making amends is your best bet. Land spirits are difficult to defend against, especially if you’re in their territory. There’s stories of people taking volcanic rocks from Hawaii without permission and being plagued by bad luck until they returned what they stole, for example.

What did you do to feel the trees and talk to them? Perhaps they saw whatever technique you used as invasive for some reason. When the cold tree reacted to you, it was in communication with you - how did you react to that communication? Was the tree sick or special in some way?

I have. The only issue is I’m not sure what I did. I do the same thing everywhere I go. I’ve never had a problem before. All the trees in that forest except one were cold. It’s like i wasn’t welcome there. But I’ve never had that problem there before.

I’m not sure. It didn’t look or feel sick. It was in the sunlight too. All I did was say hello and lay a hand gently on the trunk.
After it threatened me, I just let go and moved on to the next one.

Hmn, my thought here is that it’s not the tree that’s reacting, but a spirit attached to the tree. Maybe an unseelie Fae.

So based on this impulse, I pulled a card to get spirit’s guidance, and I got Protector of Souls (Quareia Deck).

My sense is, you inadvertently woke a sleeper in the land, that was in the tree as it’s shelter. This is why the ancestors and land guardians are upset. Seems a bit unfair as it sounds like it was very easy to wake, but it was disturbed and needs to be put back to sleep.

For this use blood. A drop of your blood on the base of the tree, in atonement for the disturbance should put it back into “Wait Mode” again. This is very ancient magick, yo also see this in the lore of the Norse and Celtic peoples who were more shamanic and aware of the land spirits. They have parallel lore to the Native Americans, as they all knew the same truths about working with the nature spirits. Accidentally waking trolls and unseelie Fae was a relatively common story and how to deal with it is as above - blood on the stone/tree/cairn where it was anchored restores it’s sleeping state.

I’m thinking now it wasn’t coincidence that I stumbled on a new youtube channel that told this kind of story just yesterday, but a synchronicity. So I could find it in my history and post it:

thanks so much friend! <3

Your advice is very helpful

I only visit my aunts house infrequently, as she has a parrot that really doesn’t like me much.

Next time I go I will definitely try this though! <3

Reading your story my only question is… will you remember when you go back to that forest, which exactly was this old tree to offer your blood and make amends to its spirit…?! :flushed:

Sounds Like Slumbering Unseelie Court Fae There More Cold in Energy. You Possibly Awoke Them From There Hibernation Period As its Summer Now. Unseelie Court Fae Are More Autum/Winter Tree Spirits. Maybe Do An Apology Ritual With Offering, Then Carry Some Iron & Salt In a Pouch On You For Protection In The Future.
