I think when I do formally ask them, I’ll do a ritual (lite) for it to formalize the request. I suspect that if I were to call upon them directly in this way, I may get a lot more support than just those that come for my Thanks ritual. Hard to say until it’s done.

Sometimes, you wonder if your child is paying attention…
I was outside, blooding one of my runes, which means I’m using lancets to blood the entire top (without anything else). It’s slow, but I was told it would be the best route for me.
I hear a knock on the back door and my son is standing there, wanting to know if he can have some more lemonade. I had just squeezed a nice drop of blood from my finger and was getting ready to put it onto the rune when he notices what’s going on. His eyes get really big and he’s quiet for a second and then says -
“Is that for Madame Pele?” (I left a blood offering to Pele in Kilauea)
We talked for a minute after that and I told him he could have a large glass instead of the regular.
