Question /request about Chi

I was told from a person that I don’t trust any more that my astral body is broken and it can’t store Chi or Qi or mana as he calls it . Can someone scan me to tell me if that’s true ?

Everyone’s astral body can store Chi, if your body could “not store chi” then you would literally be dead or very sickly at best. Chi is constantly flowing in everyone’s body. I’d say your instincts to not trust that person are correct.

Depending on the model you use, I would suggest these are two different things anyway.

Qi is stored in the qi body,. The astral body is the mental body, it’s produced by the mind. There are also an emotional body and from there more layers, some use terms like causal body (and I forget the rest as I’m not close to working directly with those higher levels of my being, and I think they vary so much they must be subjective or are poorly understood).

It’s safe to say if you couldn’t store qi you’d be very sick at least, and probably dying.
Do you have any symptoms that can be related to a lack of overall qi? Are you always tired, lacking motivation, have colds often, feel overwhelmed easily, have brain fog and feel like a weight is on you, that kind of thing?

Don’t forget you have qi in all your meridians too, and the storage centers are on those meridians, and qi is not stashed away for another day it’s constantly moving through the meridians and hence through the storage.

A better concept for them is of a lake, with tributary streams and outflows. maybe your lakes are small but that’s normal, you do cultivation exercises to make them bigger.

If he calls it “mana” that’s not qigong, and I don’t know what model he’s using and he could have meant something completely different.

Here’s one diagram of the subtle layers that’s something like what I use: temporal means time based, and temporary in time, the transitional layers give you different functionalities, the eternal layers here, I just lump under “spirit” myself. So the effect is of a raw spirit, that spark of the divine, puts on layers, like our clothes and cars, each one giving it tools to interact with different kinds of energy and hence aspects of reality.
Note the term “etheric” comes from Edgar Cayce and is not from qigong, people apply this word interchangeably to qi and astral/mental bodies, it’s sort of both as Cayce didn’t know about qi, so I don’t use it in my model.

Sorry I didn’t clarify : “ Mana as in magical energy “ I am 95% healthy and I say 95 cause I had my thyroid removed and I am on meds

So low thyroid can cause low yin and yang qi, but with meds it’s easily mitigated.

If you’re healthy, and I’d say 95% is probably healthier than most people around these days, what is he going on to say your “astral body is broken and it can’t store qi”?

And if mana is magickal energy that makes even less sense. What is that and why should anyone store it? You are directing energy, which is abundant in the universe, you don’t use your internal energy to effect magick?

I think he’s confused and so, no, it’s not true, obviously.
