Qlippoth / sephiroth questions

Hi there!

I’ve been getting into the qlippoth & sephiroth but I am still very lost.

I recently stumbled upon this on a pdf written by unknown;

___________________________________________________ 1. Sphere: KThR (Kether)Shell: ThAWMYAL (488*)Transliteration: Thaumiel (also Kerethiel (Z))Translation: Twins of God; The two contending Forces (R)Description: ‘The Bicephalous Ones’, dual giant heads with bat-like wings (M, Z)Power: Division (N, Z, 1)Comment: Dualism, Psychosis, Contention, Struggling _______________________ 2. Sphere: ChKMH (Chokmah)Shell: OWGYAL (120)Transliteration: Ogiel(G); Ghagiel (C); Chaigidel (M); Ghogiel (R); Chaigidiel (W); Zogiel (Z)Translation: The Hinderers; (The Hinders [sic] (R))Description: Black giants entwined with loathsome serpents (M, Z)Power: Restriction (N); Attachment to lying and appearance (M, Z)

I was just curious and hoping someone could elaborate more on the “shell” or numbers given to deities. For example the “shell” of lilith is 480. How does that come to fruition? What makes Lilith 480?

Thank you! Anything is appreciated<3

Side note; after doing more research I’ve come to figure out that this is gematria. But I am still curious as to how one obtains a specific set of numbers? And how does one find them?

You can get online calculators for Gematria.

Basically each letter gets a number, like A = 1, Z = 26, and add them up, You can end up with whole phrases rendering into numbers.

Owgyal 15 + 23 + 7 + 25 + 1 + 12 = 83 (could also render further into 8 + 3 = 11)

Which is not 120, so thats possibly another cipher, maybe using the Hebrew alephbet, not standard English Gematria. Or it’s not owgal that’s the word being calculated.

It seems that the gematria calculators aren’t always 100% accurate.

I know that Crowley has a good list of them and how to figure them out on your own and have them be accurate.

I figure intention still matters more, given you can have any number of phrases render to the exact same number, you probably have to agree in your mind which one you mean anyway.
