Poetic spells journal

Starting a new journal (had an old one that fell into disuse) as I’m trying something new.

I have developed recently a method of crafting spells involving the Goetic Demons in the form of poems, as I’m more of a creative writer/word and sound guy than a visual type (hence why I was never all that much into sigil work).

To try this out, I crafted - you guessed it - a sex spell targeting a named female individual (can be any woman you choose by design). What you would need is their name and preferrably a picture as well.

Now I’ve crafted the spell and am casting it.

It involves: Sitri, Zepar, Beleth and Asmodai.

I am planning to add some ritual oomph to it in the coming weeks. Currently, the method is - write a specifically structured poem and read it aloud at least 1/2 times per day (like casting a verbal spell of yore, heh).

I’ll explore this method and if it pans out, I may write a book describing the process and how to craft your own spells of this kind. This could also potentially work with other spirits (like Goetic Angels) or even pantheons or planetary energies.

So, let’s go! I’ll report on anything fun going on.

I believe I have finally finished crafting the spell and coming up with a general outline for how such spells would look like, should I try for anything else.

I also came up with a trick to record myself casting it and then play it back on loop from my computer. Should give it more energetic oomph.

Let’s try for some results!

Crafted another spell-poem, this time around calling on Venus, to make the target come to me, because I really can’t be arsed pursuing right now. Will use both on the same target to try them out (one cast takes about 3 minutes because it simply requires the poem to be read aloud, additionaly I have the target’s picture in my field of vision while doing so).

I think I’ve finally finished crafting the text of the spells and now I’ll be casting them repeatedly, 2 times per day each, and await results.

I will also be recording myself casting them (audio) and then every now and again leave it playing on loop as I leave my apartment.

I also used to play around with the idea of “technomancy”, so merging traidtional magick with modern-day technology, and lo and behold, one of my favorite occult authors, John Kreiter, just released a book about technomancy, “Digital Sigil Magick”. I just purchased it and will read it and will employ it - I always loved the idea, and I know that man knows his stuff based on his earlier works (focused on internal alchemy mostly). So I’ll be adding a bit of that to this journal as well.

You know what? That book was really underwhelming. I had hoped for something more up my alley, but as it stands it’s just a classic sigil working in the chaos magick tradition with a potentially very potent charging ritual that builds on Kreiter’s previous books. Interesting read, not up my alley.

What is up my alley is “Black Magic that Works: The Forbidden Science of Real Sorcery” by Andrew Archer. I glanced an idea from it where you enter pacts with entities/forces and pay for it in return with creative work. So I shall be entering such pacts by writing and posting (shitty) poetry in public, so probably in this journal, haha. So expect some crappy, try hard, edgy poetry in here in the near future. It’s like “giving thanks to a spirit” but to seal a pact instead of another working. Should be fun!

Started getting some… interesting dreams regarding the target.

I can now recite the spells while just having the text in my peripheral vision.

Had an idea for a third spell, this time without calling on entities.

Setting up a ritual space for poetic pacting. It’s going to be a simple setup. All I need is pretty much a cloth, a couple candles and a chalice.

Crafted spell no. 3, gonna put it to use immediately.

Also going to employ my Poetic Spellweaving method to some more tasks, apart from spellcasting and pacting with Entities. F. in. just had an idea how to create and power up a Servitor Spirit using this method, and I shall do just that.

Gonna start a little blog to have somewhere to post my spell-poems, apart from this journal here.

Purchased some basic ritual apparel - candles, a tablecloth with a pentagram, a leather notebook to get pages out of, a chalice. Could still use some candleholders and maybe a proper mage-robe to go along with the stuff. Oh, and I’m gonna need some needles.

My poetic spellweaving is slowly turning into a proper grimoire. This should be good. I have two completed spells (one Goetia, one Venus), almost a third one (no entities, just a psychic link) and beginning to work on a Servitor Spirit (by composing a poem, heh).

Started that blog, a free one on wordpress (should be enough for my puroses) if I need to publish stuff publically I’ll do it here and on the blog which I will link to.

I feel pretty excited about the whole idea now.

Since I’m on a bit of a love/lust kick with this new method, I crafted another spell-poem, this time around petitoning the Goddess/Planet Venus to grant me the energy of her Solomonic Pentacles.

After the first recitation, I felt a very pleasant, erotic energy emanating from my chest. I’ll cast it twice daily and we’ll see what happens, results-wise.

I’m really liking the Pentacles of Venus spellpoem I made, so I decided to share it here.

If you want to try it out, here’s what you do:

Recite (or rather - cast) it at least twice per day by reading aloud as if you were giving a reading at a poetry slam. Add in some method acting goodness if you’re into that sort of thing, should give it more oomph. You can also use it as part of a ritual (I’m in the process of setting up a ritual space. Also ordered some proper Mage Robes from a LARP store, hahaha). The more often you cast, the more power it’s going to get.

Try not to laugh too hard at my rhyming schemes. They’re very important for how this works and they don’t need to be Shakespeare level.

Power of the Pentacles of Venus

Eyeh Asher Eyeh

I who am what I am

Who was who I was

Who will be as I shall be

Shall now cast this spell

And make my Desire my Reality

This spellpoem of mine

Is meant to invoke

The Powers of Venus

Of which King Solomon spoke

And as I now read this poem aloud

I am imbued with these Pentacles’ might

O Venus, on thee I call

And make my Desire to your Power known

O Venus, imbue me with the Power of your First Pentacle

To grant me control

Of the Spirits you well Know

Who shall now serve me

And bring to me in love

Beautiful Women of all shapes and kinds

O Venus, imbue me with the Power of your Second Pentacle

So I may obtain grace, honor

And success of all kinds

In all matters of the heart

As well as in any artistic endeavors

I may henceforth undertake

Or any sort of Art I might myself make

O Venus, imbue me with the Power of your Third Pentacle

So that I may attract love

And admiration alike

From any person that I like

Especially Women of the beautiful type

O Venus, imbue me with the Power of your Fourth Pentacle

That maketh all Women I like before me come

And show me the fire

Of their Love’s desire

And not cease in trying until it is done

O Venus, imbue me with the Power of your Fifth Pentacle

Which shall incite and excite wonderfully into Love

Any person I may so desire

Especially Women whose Venusian fire

Burns brightly with beauty divine

And they shall feel Love and all shall be mine

So it is done, and so shall it be

O Venus, for you have these Powers imbueth in me

Thank you, O Venus, from within my heart

For imbuing me with your majestic Might

Eyeh Asher Eyeh. Amen.

I think I’ll start working on a Mars Pentacle Spellpoem tomorrow.

EDIT

After casting it a couple times, I made some alterations and fixes, I’ll repost to my blog once I’m really happy with it, copy it into my physical girmoire (which is arriving by mail soon) and then recite away! This should work really well when after many repetitions I should be able to cast it from memory - right now I’m just reading it from my computer screen.

I made some fixes and put the spellpoem on my blog: Ode to Venus for the Power of Her Pentacles: A Spellpoem – Poetic Spellweaving

I failed to get the line-breaks working, but the flow of the text should imply reasonably well where particular stanzas end.

Have fun reading and casting, if you will!

I’m casting the above Venus Pentacles spell, added another touch to it (I open up a picture with the symbols of the Pentacles and glance over each when reciting the spell). Now, this seems to have deepend my connection to Venus Herself as I got a sudden urge to do an offering (a quick one), so I lit a candle in Her name and a very short time thereafter I got an idea for a pact with Her which I’m going to do next week.

Gonna do an ode to Mars Pentacles next for protective purposes. I always felt drawn to the Pentacles.

Nearly finished with the Pentacles of Mars spellpoem.

I will be revisitng the lust/sex obssesion spell. I think that putting more than one entity in a single spell is not necessary (and makes it overlong, lol), so I’ll write up a targeted Sex-Lust thing calling on Beleth, and then a sexual thoughts induction calling on Dantalion. For fun and profit. And to test my concept, obviously.

Okay, so the Pentacle of Mars spell is ready and I decided to publish it on my little blog to go along with the Venus one: Ode to Mars for the Power of His Pentacles: A Spellpoem – Poetic Spellweaving

I think I’ll do Jupiter next, out of the Pentacles.

But first I’ll do the Beleth and Dantalion spells. Also planning pacts with Venus and with Apollo. My ritual stuff is nearly all here, just need a couple candle-holders and waiting for my Mage Robe to arrive.

I must have had some inspiration in me because it took me 15 minutes to compose the Beleth Lust Poem, heheheh.

Gonna start casting it and we’ll see about some result. It should work better than the one I intially wrote because a) it’ has better literary value, I think, b) is shorter, c) focuses on evoking the powers of one Entity, not several.

Crafted a powerful aura of lust (aimed at women) spell calling upon Sitri, and I’m very happy with it. I’m refining my method gradually.

Gonna cast it whenever I’ll be out and about when there’s a high probability of attractive women.

The Beleth targeted sex/lust spell is coming along nicely, too.

The Beleth spellpoem is ready to go. Gonna start trying it out next week, I’ve got shanenigans in mind.

The Sitri spell, once recited, gives me a serious sense of magickal power and connection to Sitri’s energy. Very nice! We’ll see how it works in the field.

I’m still contemplating how to approach Zepar’s powers and add him in to the mix of spellpoems. Gonna also work on the Venusian poem a bit (I’m adding sigils/seals and enns now and it gives the spells way more oomph, so to speak, so…)

After that, I’m going to work with King Paimon for career success in my business (classical music). I am also looking into Goetic Angels for that purpose as there are several.

The spellpoems are turning out to be little pill-shaped full-on rituals that take 3 minutes to recite. Now, to get my printer working… (I’ve been reading ‘em off my laptop screen, but I figure it’ll work better with paper in hand).

Fixed my printer, made my spellpoems look all nice and dandy. Making them so they fit on one page of A4 printout.

Made a spellpoem dedicated to Yeyaiel for wealth, success and fame in my chosen profession. Included his Seal from three different sources on the page, as well as the Psalm as sourced from the Gallery of Magick book on Goetic angels. Started reciting today, feels good! Hopefully He doesn’t mind the proncounciation of the Psalm, I’m definitely making it up as I go, hahaha (the pronounciation key in the book is weird for me because English isn’t my native language).

Anyway, adding touches like the Corresponding Psalm or the Enn makes it easier for me to ham it up while reciting like a proper little wizard.

So I now have four spells at the ready: Sitri, Beleth, Yeyaiel and Venus.

Also working on creating a Servitor Spirit using my spellpoem method. Every recitation would give more energy to the Servitor to carry out its tasks.

I am, at times, throughout the day, driven to f. in. do a little offering to Sitri here and there after reciting the spellpoem several times (f. in. I dedicated the taste of the energy drink I like drinking to Him. So I drank it in His name. Hope He enjoyed it as much as I did! ).

Having a good time on this poetic spellweaving journey.

Beginning to work with Olympians. Working on my connection with Aphrodite and it’s going great, she’s a lovely Goddess. I have a great energetic tool to facilitate that, treating it a bit as an altar, burning a candle every now and again, sprinkling it with rose incense and the like. Talking to her daily.

Gonna start working with Apollo in a similar vein next week.

Obviously, I’m not the only person who came up with the idea of poetic incantations, so now I’m doing research into the subject, reading books by authors who worked in a similar vein. Good stuff!

As I was meditating with Aphrodite today, I had a spell of inspiration to compose a little invocation and thanks. So, here it is, to be recited as you can see her visage or symbol (I have an energetic image which I use for this purpose):

O Aphrodite, mother of all love

You, who sprung from the foam,

You, whose beauty surpasses that of a flying dove

You of beauteous hair that falls

Over your arms and you of fluttering eyelids

That beguile hearts both mortal and divine

You, whose sensuality any woman outbids

And whose fruitful bounty is love refined

That shatters through any deceitful mask

Accept my worship and a corteous ask

I would make of Thee

And your blessing receive

[State your wish. It can rhyme if you want it to.]

O Aphrodite, giver of joy

O Laughter-loving Kallypigos,

I shall your gift in glee enjoy

As grateful thanks to you arose

From within my soul for your granting me

All that I’ve hereby asked of Thee
