The best thing is to ask the entity in question. If you don’t yet have a relationship to be able to ask them, I’d avoid a pact at all and just make regular requests via sigil or evocation, and hold off on making deals until you get to know them a bit.
Read this book. There’s a lot of info on it.
Pacts and deals must be made with clarity of intention, the right reason and respect.
