Pact with a Demon and Questions About Their Nature and Power

Hi everyone,
I’ve been studying and experimenting with evocation and pacts, and I have some questions I’d love your perspectives on—especially from those with direct experience.

1.Are demons truly external and real entities, or are they psychological projections, or perhaps reflections of the inner self (shadow/archetype)? I often wonder whether what we experience is something our brain creates, or if we’re truly interacting with independent, non-human intelligences.
2. What are the essential terms or conditions required for making a pact with a demon? I’ve seen people mention offerings, intent, clarity of desire, etc., but how do you define a valid or effective pact?
3. Do you believe that demonic pacts actually “manifest” real-life results? For example, not just “inner transformation,” but real, external outcomes—like wealth, success, power?
4. Is it truly possible to ask for and receive transcendent intelligence or superhuman mental abilities through a pact? Can a demon grant intelligence or cognitive powers that are beyond normal human limits, or is that unrealistic?

I’m especially interested in hearing what “you’ve actually experienced”—not just theory. Have you asked for something like this? Did it work? Did it come slowly, or in unexpected ways?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

1: It doesn’t matter. You can’t tell the difference anyway.

2: Communication. If you can’t communicate properly with a spirit, you can’t do a pact. Pacts are basically the equivalent of legally binding contracts. You need to be clear on your terms and the demon’s terms in order to make an effective pact. That means be able to bring up any concerns or limitations you may have and listening to the spirit’s feedback. You have to be clear on what you’re willing to offer in exchange because it is a negotiation and the spirit will try to get everything they can from you. They may test you with ridiculous demands just to see what you will do. Also, not every demon will want to make a pact with you. You have to be prepared for rejection.

3: Yes. All magick manifests “real life” results. That’s literally its purpose.

4: In my opinion, that is unrealistic. You are not going to become a super genius just because you offered a piece of chocolate to a demon. Real magick isn’t Hollywood magick. What spirits generally do, in my experience, is enhance the traits you already possess. If you’re an idiot, you’re not going to be joining MENSA just because you made a deal with your imaginary friend. If you are decently intelligent, however, you can become sharper and wittier and learn to use your intelligence more effectively.

This depends of what you spiritual philosophy is. Either way you slice it it works and there is no “Truth™” so you can choose whatever feels right for you.

Personally,
a) there’s no such thing as “demons” - that is not a word for any kind of entitym it’s an insult for entties unpopular with some religions (tho not others).
b) The entities variously labeled as “demons” are a mixed bag of higher beings, ETs, dead humans, fae/djinn, and astral entities.
I.e. - yes it’s both. Imo.

You and the entity make an agreement. That’s it. That’s literally what “pact” means. There’s no rules, no Labor Unions for entities, no regulations. You’re going to have to have a conversation, haggle and agree on terms between you.

a) yes I’m doing this with my life now, and
b) You don’t need a pact for any of this. A pact is for an ongoing working you commit to for months or years. You can just also work with an entity on an ongoing basis without one. This is highly recommended. The need for a pact can arise organically in conversation but it’s not as if you were signing up for a human course, they tend to get devalued and broken if you treat them with a commercial attitude.

No we already talked about this. No path to manifestation without abilities YOU have to develop.

If magick was that easy to get a free ride everyone would already be doing it.

This forum has 14 years of practical experience you seem to not be searching. Most people who have posted the most advanced stuff is way back and they’re not here and others just won’t repeat themselves. Much of it will be un-reproducible, some imagination, some genuine UPG, some gets results and some doesn’t… you have to use discernment here, and then you’ll get why this is not a thing, any more than that one guy who asked how to do a Goku Kamehameha.

You can’t ask to run an untramarathon when you haven’t get learned to crawl.

Magick takes a curious mind - but tempered with discernment, this is the root of wisdom, not IQ. Magic needs a curious mind – the learning dilemma for magical students | Josephine McCarthy

You mean, for example, if someone has an IQ of 134, the demon would amplify that aspect?

I mean, the demon will help you to utilize your intelligence more efficiently, which means you would be able to think quicker, make decisions faster, and not be bogged down with too many self doubts. Really smart people intuitively know how to leverage their intelligence to its best effect. They rarely question themselves. They will make a decision, observe the results, and then make adjustments to their course of action as necessary based on those results.

Intelligence isn’t just an IQ score but it also includes the ability to think creatively and to make spontaneous leaps in knowledge and understanding. For example, sometimes you’ll suddenly just know how to derive the solution to a problem but if someone asked you to show them how you got to the answer, you couldn’t provide the steps. You just somehow knew.

And don’t forget the negative sides to a high IQ as well. Social isolation, impatience with others who can’t think as fast, a feeling of awkwardness when around other people. A sense of slowness, like everyone around you is functioning at half speed. These can also be magnified.

In ancient Greece, debating was a big deal, so in the Goetia, you will find several demons that are said to make one more witty, and loquacious.
