Say you have two people, one is a Vegan and eats mostly whole food fruits and vegetables, and then you have a Carnivore who mostly eats red meat, organs and some dairy.
How would these two ways of eating affect the energy and spirituality of the person?
Having done both, and everything in between, ime for the spiritual aspects it’s huge to not be eating toxins and processed junk, which fog you up and make meditating harder.
So both are good for giving you clarity in your system to made a strong spiritual connection.
The difference comes in the physical and qi body layers of your being. The meat is yang. If the vegan food isn’t cheese sandwiches and fries, and more like raw salad and veggies it’s alive and thus also Yang.
But a vegan diet of glyphosphate-treated wheat like pasta, bread and manufactured crap is going to be more yin, toxic and detrimental to every level of being.
You can get food correspondence charts online what foods bring what quality or elements of energy and thereby what meridians and organs that affects the most and how.
I feel that veganism is in direct conflict with spiritual enlightenment because it denies our animal aspect, and the very essence of life which requires death.
I think that trying to mess with that circle is detrimental to growth. It’s unfortunate the unethical things that come with animal cultivation but there are definitely ethical ways to source meat and consume it as well. I don’t see a huge difference in the sentience department given that plants can recognize voice, faces, what people wear etc and send out distress signals when being eaten. Everything has the goal to live, and living requires consumption which requires somethings life to end. It’s an energy exchange, and I find the ideology surrounding veganism (especially the more militant) in denial of the essence that makes up existence.
I do also think that a diet that is completely carnivore is bad as well, it’s all about balance. Being healthy in whichever people decide on is also extremely important, and heavily processed diets are also detrimental spiritually.
On a personal note, I don’t care what people eat though and as long as no one’s telling me what to do I don’t care what they do even if I disagree with it because in the end it’s just food and we all need it.
