Ok so Mulberry you have been absolutely the most helpful and thoughtful person on the forums and all the advice you have given me so far I have took the heart and it has been working out for me.
I have Jason Miller books on sorcery and I watched one of the videos about spirits. And it was a very realistic approach what he was talking about. That spirits are like people Spirits are friendly that you can petition and some are unruly when it requires binding or that type of thing. Just like you would for say you encounter a person who could be dangerous and that’s when you would probably call the police or you if you go to a charity run by people and you get help Basically what he saying is, he should have a variety of methods when doing with spirits.
One thing that does interest me that he mentions like Bune, Firsort of a Solomonic method but didn’t need to use “bindings” or “cursing” But at one point he has been able to directly work with Bune, But it’s something major that needs to happen. That’s when higher authority angels to.”constrain”. I looked up the meaning of this word “ severely restrict the scope, extent, or activity of” like “agricultural development is considerably constrained by climate” to a specific action. I did read somewhere on the forums, often angels and demons co-operate, or angels guide them.
So my question is do you think it’s good advice to have a variety as well?
I am pondering about is when I should use pathworkings in directly working with Goetia without Solomonic methods and when to use them? That’s kind of where I am at right now.

It’s up to you. I’d say try it and see how you feel. Just because I don’t use Solomonic methods doesn’t mean they don’t work - they work great for people who’s energy is aligned that way. Mine isn’t.
I should explain - I have Belial partially invoked, permanently. And I have 4 planets in Aquarius, a sign all about independence - Sun, Moon, Jupiter and Chiron - between these and my worldviews, it just doesn’t work for me to go the constraining things route. It’s philosophically and emotionally anathema to me, so I don’t do it, and I won’t work with entities that ask for it, even. I’m not judging those that do it - by rights they are independent too, and get to do whatever they want to, it’s between them and the spirits and not my business, but then I don’t have any great skill or understanding using these JCI style techniques and I’m not the best person to ask.
I never really thought of that considering you astrological make up. Mine is mars,mercury, and sun in Taurus. Moon in Aries. Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter in Sagittarius. Venus in Gemini , Pluto and Saturn in Libra. Ascendant Scorpio
Lot of fiery energy I have. I’m not trying to get off topic here but the point is Reason why I’m mentioning it maybe you can point out a some interesting ideas. I know sagittarian energy do not like authority figures. But the planets in earth signs would maybe explain my interest in more primal maybe chthonic approach. Because it’s earth based?

I’d say don’t worry too much, try things out and keep what works and leave the rest out. Sun signs are fine for ther high level general ambiance, but they fall apart if you try to make too much detail out of them.
This is because as a divination system they are incomplete - obviously there’s more to life than the stars, there’s also geomancy (earth energy where you live and sleep, interpersonal interactions with humans, animals, earthbound and cosmic entities, and your own health, culture and belief systems. You can’t make accurate predictions when 90% of the info is not being looked at, but you can use them to get a broad explanation of the sphere of influence coming from that direction. Great for feeding into analyses, not so great for making decisions with, imo as usual.
But yeah try things. It’s all good experience, an you need as much experience as possible at any rate. The most skilled people are the ones who practiced the most, not the ones who didn’t make any mistakes.
