I bought this book a few years ago on Kindle, but then forgot about actually using it. Saw it in my library again and just reread it. The methods in it sound very much like magickal processes you might use in ritual magick, and is also similar to Lanie Stevens’ techniques. BUT, has a more scientific tone to it. The authors claim you ca attract money to you, or get someone to fall in love with you via use of the morphic fields. Says they tested these methods on hundreds of people.
Anyone else know of this book or had success with it?

I’ve never heard of this book but “morphic fields” are a concept that is based on biologist Rupert Sheldrake’s theories of the morphogenic field. According to Sheldrake, the universe is not machine like but instead is an organism that is constantly evolving and morphic resonance within the morphogenic field is what is responsible for the seemingly unchangeable laws of nature.
Morphic fields take this and try to apply it to the human level. Basically, the idea is to get into morphic resonance with something, like wealth, and thus attract it into your experience. It is very similar to the ancient idea of vibration and that what you vibrate in tune with will be brought into your life. There are audios on YouTube that purport to be energetically charged morphic fields to cause physical changes in th ebody.

Ah Sheldrake. I found his experiments with canine telepathy and also gaze detection to be very fascinating.
For much of his other stuff, I found that he would expound theories with little explanation of a basis for them. Just my subjective observation anyhoo.

Yeah, his theories aren’t really accepted as he has little to no empirical evidence to back them and they haven’t really been put to the test. I mean, anyone can make up a story as an explanation for some observed phenomena (it was aliens!) but the scientific method is to literally try and disprove that story through experimentation. For example, the theory of evolution has so far withstood two hundred years of such testing, but it’s still called a theory because there is a slight chance that a better story will one day come along that colours in more of the picture.

I don’t have the book but funnily enough I was watching an interview where he talks about it yesterday:
Yes I agree. It also has parallels in therapeutic qigong, where you are working to balance the energy of the qi body, and that will affect the physical body to match it. And vice versa, changes to the physical body affects the qi body. I wonder if he’d see the qi body as another way of modelling the morphic field.
I also read The Body Electric a few years ago which seems like yet another way people are working on the same phenomena.
And yet another way is in the Monroe Institute gateway Experience tapes where a couple of them (in Wave III) are for healing, and you envision your perfect state at various levels of being and then bring that into you using intention.
This part is new - the other approaches are all focused on healing, but I don’t see why healing couldn’t apply to other areas of life. The MI stuff does has an emotional healing element that would help with the love issues and attracting like people.
I think if I wasn’t already working with the other modalities I’d be studying this book, I just don’t have time right now.

It’s not that long. It just explains the techniques and is divided into 3 parts. You basically have to lower your brainwaves to Alpha state in order to influence the morphic fields, apparently. One section us on using the process for love - to fetch someone specific to fall in love with you. One is on attracting money to you, the other is on using the process to attract other things. I like the fact that it is laid out in a scientific, clear way.

Yes, I’ve read about some of Sheldrake’s work, and it is v interesting. Sounds a lot like the basis for the law of attraction stuff. Do you have a link to those videos on YouTube? That sounds fascinating!
