Memory bleed-through into one's current life

Does being born with memories of past lives or what-have-you tend to mean anything significant? Stories come to mind like that kid who was murdered, was reborn soon in the same area and pointed out his killer. Then you have the claims from magi here and there about carrying over actual memories of this or that.

I’ve always had a small number of what I suspect were memories from other lives or worlds, but there was one in particular that I verified, about being present on a boat trip with my mom, my aunt and older cousin who was still a toddler from what I saw. It always seemed odd in many ways and when I recounted everything to my mom she was aghast: “The boat trip?! You weren’t even born yet.” … So I guess I was just floating around the boat disembodied, which is how it seemed.

Do you think it only shows the memory wipe during re-incarnation isn’t perfect, that maybe a strong enough attachment to something allows it to survive the process? Or may it be there’s something very different about the individual? Having a stronger spiritual constitution? Being a different type of spirit altogether?

I apologize if the question isn’t appropriate for this site.

I think a lot of it depends on the actual emotional intensity of the experiences, they’re normally stored unconsciously and we’re unaware of most memories because if we were aware we wouldn’t be able to live this life.

I remember reading a practitioner make the point that most people rarely even consciously live their lives and live most of it on autopilot, so if you were a farmer you wouldn’t casually remember your decades on end of farming as a past life memory since a lot of it would be a blur. On the other hand you were much more likely to be conscious at a moment out of the ordinary (like a major achievement, the farm burning down, or something like that) so if it’s something that has a strong enough emotional trigger like seeing your killer it could definitely come up. I think a lot of mundane past life memories were just not “conscious” enough at that time so can’t be conscious at this time because even in the past life they would have been a blur. Although if you do something you would’ve done a lot before, you might remember or naturally have the talent.

I’ve had the pre-life memories thing too and I think it’s more about memories stored in the ancestry/dna for whatever reason. Generally speaking though it’s my opinion that most past life memories are fine to stay unconscious so that you can reach the goal of this incarnation, except if they’re affecting you in some way or related to some type of limitation or blockage. I managed to heal a huge set of blockages through past life regression, whether it was a real past life or my mind making stories to process things is impossible to prove and know. I lean towards the 1st but either way, it worked and I got the results I wanted.

For me, I haven’t even decided if “memory wipe” is the best term. I’m trying thinking the ideas through. Like “the veil” is also not a great term. Each implies just one thing or process that’s in our way, and I think it’s a cumulative effect of a few factors.

I think the biggest factor, is the brain. The brain is a think I see as more like an interface between the animal and the incarnate spirit. It’s where the mind of the animal lives. I think both spirits knows everything and has access to the recordings that exist sometimes called the “askashic records”.

So between the two of us we have everything, so I think it’s more like a skills issue on how to use the brain as a tool to access the info, which is not stored as a memory in it’s “wetware”.

So the bleed-through is kind of like beginner’s luck, but I think also happens more if the spirit is more mature, so it’s got well developed skills, more than maybe less mature spirits. I’m not sure if all the animal vessels start on the same page or not.

So the point above about living mindfully and being able to listen to the small inner voiceless voice is on the money, and it’s a skill to develop that, find out how to get it to respond to questions in a way that it can hear and you can consciously get the answer.

I actually mostly agree with everything said here. But my take on it is a little on the side.

“The veil” - I’ve always been on the impression that this is referring to a veil over your eyes, that keeps you from seeing into other layers or into your own past if you have one. (Let’s face it. New souls do happen.) What I dislike is when people refer to it like it’s a barrier, but for me it’s more like static and you just have to tune the TV better. Wiggle your rabbit ears. I’m sorry for those of you who have not had this frustrating and educational experience. =^-^=

Remembering is something else. It’s more common than the mainstream would like you to think, and it can be triggered when you get around a catalyst. (goes ting) There are a lot of factors. You can live your life remembering the other times, and the other times can sometimes give you strength to live this live better. There are lessons learned, muscles built, and intelligence gathered from your other years. To not remember them at all means they aren’t learned at all for the moment, at least not for the most part. But “I remember that I was an opera diva” can help a LOT when you’re picking up that ukulele for the first time, because you’re so very driven to sing and sing some more.

There was this guy once who was a devout Mormon. I accidentally triggered him into remembering a specific event. The next day he called me to tell me he had been told not to speak to me about these things anymore, because Remembering was wholly against his religion. And I think he got into trouble. That doesn’t help.

People do tend to live their lives in survival mode. It makes it difficult to remember something from 4 years ago much less 400, unless there are high emotions attached - as has been remarked upon in this thread. But you can do it, you can get past that.

You live your life with purpose. You notice and ponder as much as you can. Being observant is a very core part of being able to remember. The thing that holds so many people back is although they’re observing if they didn’t make any errors in that report, they’re not observing the other things -the sights, the smells, the mood of the people around them, what the weather is like, the feel of their desk, and (most importantly) where they stand in the time and place of their life at that given moment.

Where you stand is how you find yourself. It’s like breadcrumbs on the trail BACK to the wicked witch.

Don’t be afraid to sit in a quiet space and use remote viewing as the START of casting yourself out, following your own thread, and finding things to learn. This can be tricky. You have to just let the events play out. You can’t think about them. You can’t try to manipulate them. You can’t do anything that might put yourself into a daydream or sleep dream.

Most importantly.

You must learn to detach your feelings from those memories and learn to watch them as a movie. If you don’t you are running the risk of an emotional breakdown.

Don’t go too hard and too fast. Also, you may hurt yourself if you don’t.

Crawling back under my rock now. I hope you figure it out.
