The marriage ceremony is a ritual spell being cast, plain and simple… In fact, marriage is THE most powerful binding spell in the history of mankind… If I grab some strange man off the street, and we introduces ourselves as Mr. and Mrs. Strange-o, everyone we tell will believe us. That is how powerful this spell you are proposing to cast is… and that is just the ordinary spell that everyone who gets married casts. Not even going into the black magic part. (It is also one of the reasons why divorce is so heinous when it happens, people don’t realize they’re dealing with a binding spell at all, much less the most powerful one in existence).
