I think I have by process of elimination come to the conclusion that the likely source of most of the many major crises that occur far too often in my life is my subconscious mind.
My freshmen year Psych class at University taught me that the subconscious mind is extremely difficult to communicate with, and nearly impossible to change.
Unfortunately, If I am correct in my assumption that my crises have subconscious origins; then
Changing/reprogramming my subconscious is exactly what I need to do.
Back in freshman Psych again, we learned that there are very few methods to communicate with and thereby reprogram our subconscious mind. Some of the basics include art/music, images/symbolism, hypnotic suggestion, subliminal messages (audio or visual), affirmations, incantations, mantras and/or spiritual/religious rituals or ceremonies.
Which brings me (sorry it took so long) to the
question I wanted to present to the forum: has anyone successfully reprogrammed their subconscious mind leading to manifest incredible, life-changing paradigm shifts? If so what was the method used? I feel certain that within the realm of Magick or esoteric knowledge there is a very effective solution to this daunting problem.
I would greatly appreciate any advice from
anyone reading this, particularly if it comes from personal experience. Thanks for your time, and thanks in advance for any advice provided.
Yeah but there’s a catch, as most often this is achieved through things like rebirth rituals, or calling entities to do this, and giving them free reign tends to start with your entire life being ripped apart - out with the old an in with the new. You lose job, friends, family maybe, maybe even homelessness, and you are dragged via necessity to starting over. You rebuild from the bottom up.
Most people don’t want to experience things that drastically, and prefer to take a more surgical and slower approach to improving things area by area over many years. They then never give full permission to any entity to take that level of control over their lives.
Examples of this kind of thing can be seen in E.A. Koetting’s work Book of Azazel, and Dante Abiel’s book Necromantic Sorcery.
I’m not sure there’s any guarantee that doing this would fix any underlying subconscious self sabotage though. Since you also said this is an assumption, not a certainty, it might be helpful if it fixes circumstances or people in your life that are the actual cause. It’s a big risk.
Do you need huge shift or more like healing? There are entities that specialize in mental and emotional healing - Glas’yos and Hent’yos from the book of Azazel, the egregores from the Filthy Grimoire, Leraje and Marbas from the Goetia, Archangel Raphael, the Celtic goddess Brigitte - there’s a few you could approach to see if they can help.
I would also check for parasitic attachment from childhood issues, as getting rid of deeply embedded thoughtforms or astral parasites can also have profound changes leading to you feeling lighter and happier and more resilient.
Yeah, what Mulberry said is especially true for the more chaotic spirits we’d mostly classify as chthonic and/ or infernal. In a very clinical term these would be the more chaotic and primal aspects of our subconscious and the collective consciousness.
So letting that guide you usually has very chaotic ways to manifest. Especially when you are looking for material changes, in my experience. (or maybe I just have an ability to handle psychological chaos a little better than some others)
I have a bit of a mixed clinical and esoteric view about the nature of these beings and how magick functions.
An interesting thing for me to unpack is the work I’ve done a little while back. Which were two free projects from the Temple Of Ascending Flame. In an external sense, the outcome was not some grand externally visible shift. Even the internal result was pretty subtle at first. But it built up over time, as my new outlook and shifted mindset and consciousness affected more and more aspects of my life.
Work one, Abaddon: The Beast Of The Abyss
Is a 4-day “trial” in which you are aided by Abaddon to meet and either integrate or destroy your (Jungian) shadow-self. Through ritual and meditation you go down to " the pit", which I associate with the dark depths of your subconscious, the part that is the most hidden from your consciousness and ego. It makes sense that that is where you would meet your shadow.
Work two. Samael: The Angel Of Death
Is a 6 day “trial” in which you are aided by Samael to open Death’s gates, summon Death and death-energy to die a symbolic death and be reborn after which you let The Wild Hunt hack and rip you to shreds so nothing remains, physically and spiritually. You then dwell in and embody that nothingness and emptiness. In that state you go deep into your subconsciousness, envisioning the only way out is to go deeper and deeper while you explore. At the closing of this work you invoke Samael as the King/ Archangel of Death to a point of possession and while you embody The Reaper you envision all obstacles that have kept you from progressing and growing as shadow figures and then slaughter them all.
I’ve experienced these projects/ trials as highly symbolic as most of it plays out as visions in meditation after you do the grand gesture of the ritual part. Which allows this to play out through the whole of your consciousness and mark or burn this into every part.
3 months later the changes this made for me still seem pretty permanent.
