I have been feeling a very strong presence of spirits arround me anytime I perform rituals.
My problem is that I want to connect with mermaids to get answers from the water world.
Does anyone practice calling water spirits before.
They are Fae, so it’s ideal to go to where they live, a river, well, creek, lake, sea etc.
As Mulberry said, locations such as rivers, wells, lakes etc. are the best. In my opinion and experience (not calling on mermaids, but sensing water related spirits), you can feel/sense/communicate with them (or many) better, if the water habitat is clean and rich of living beings (different kinds of fish, frogs, etc.). I also recommend a “silent” place (no noise pollution by humans, human machines, etc.), to have a clearer communication or, if a communication cannot be established soon, to sense them better at least.
I would also say that there is a difference when you visit these places at night or day time, as different beings could be present there. Additionally, if you make some background research about the place you visit (river, lake, etc.) and find out some helpful information (for example, the river you have been visiting has been a lot bigger before, or just artificially made etc.), it might help too as you understand the water habitat you are visiting better.
Welcome back
It’s a book of sirens by I tink David Thompson. In Amazon. And a guy call Benito has a book in water spirts,.look Greek Magick also,
Mami wata If that is what you mean is a specific tradition. Granted “marine spirits”/sirens are famous/ infamous regardless what part of the world you are in. In my experience they don’t necessarily need to be by water to manifest. If you can astral travel or astrally connect with their realm you can feel their “kingdom”.
All the above post give great advice on where to research. I would add it may be more important to find out which spirit is around you first. It could be a mermaid /marine spirit or not. But they all are unique and have specific names.
