Friend, why should I take their word as truth? Anyone can present info to support their claims and they can all be equally wrong. Why would this not be Truth For Some - as everything else is?
I see your point of you, but he seems certain so far and there is few people who are claiming his method works! so that made me wonder if what he is saying is true.
So far i believe ceremonial magic works and he is coming from ignorance that he doesn’t want to be ally or worship he wants to command. at least thats how i perceive the author.
Tbh i regret reading this book, because it got a lot doubt in me and confusion. but, i am still gonna finish it since i started it.
Many thanks, that is something useful to another project I’m working on.
I have no dog in this fight. I don’t care one way or the other. I have nothing to do with Lucifer.
However, I find it very doubtful that thousands of magicians the world over, many with decades of experience like EA Koetting, are contacting impostors all because they are using the commonly known seal.
Every magical order thinks they, and they alone, hold the keys to the capital-T Truth. More often than not, they are deluding themselves.
The method in the book does work though, as it is a well known form of magick, originally called “working in vision” but now commonly, and somewhat incorrectly, called pathworking.
He may have a point. Not for me to say from personal experience. Lucifer came to me when working with another spirit, so I didn’t start from zero.
thanks for the response that clears a lot.
hold on what do you think my path is? also i am not agreeing with the author i am disturbed by it and thats why i shared it. also, if u can elaborate more because ur response is a bit confusing.
Edit @Antony oh i see what u are saying, i actually agree with it.
@shinri has worked extensively with the book in question so he may be able to shed more light on it for you.
Awesome, @shinri please tell us what you think. I am really interested.
I suspect that this is going to open quite the can of worms, so I’m going to wait a bit before I write here. I will say that I agree with much of what the author says, and that some of the objections I’m reading are without a full understanding of the book. I have practiced this magick nearly exclusively since shortly after the book was published, and to say that I have had great success would not begin to imply all that I have experienced.
I don’t want to clog the thread, so I will write a somewhat lengthy post divided into sections with responses to different people.
I have tried this book! I cant say I agree with his statements but I enjoy his visualisation methods! It works for me. His pathworking isn’t really necessary for me I would just remember the visualisation for the entity I want and I would go to it! I get the gesture of respecting a hierarchy but I don’t think it’s a must to go first to Lucifer to reach anyone else!
I do ceremonial magick when I have the privacy but mostly I would do Astral magick and visualisation!
I tried different ways of calling Lucifer and they all gave me the same entity! If you are so worried about imposters you might create one…
Take the method and try it! See what works and make your own twist to it!
i am actually starting to feel i rushed this thread, just reached page 50: i really want to try this method i feel its easy and lovely, but for some reason i am used to giving offering and the idea of not giving any is making me feel bad.
i like that u tried both and u switch in between the two. however, when u summon through a regular ceremonial ritual do u still give offerings? because this method states that u don’t ! so help me figuring this out.
Yes I would offer atleast a candle since it’s a ritual! I dont always offer incense. And depending on the entity if I feel generos enough to offer treats.
This method says you aren’t offering anything but you are offering your energy when you do the visualisation because you go to the entity with your mind.
If you wanna offer something! Light a thank you candle with the name of the entity on it. I sometimes do that when the results exceeds my expectations.
Hope that helps
A physical offering really isn’t needed. The only time I give an offering is when I work with the Norse Gods, for the sake of tradition.
I encountered the same thing you said in Jake Strattons True Grimoire. And I am not sure if what has been said in the book is correct or not but it makes sense that it can be a impostor, still a low possibility but nonetheless.Best approach is making one and requesting from spirit to charge it.Or find your soul animal (name can be wrong),they can guide you to true spirits.
what the soul animal … this is my first time hearing about it.
thanks for the response that clarifies a lot.
I am probably giving its name wrong you should ask Lady Eva
@Lady_Eva can u please advise?
