So, I have been in muggle-hood for about twenty days now, so I think come the morrow, I am going to get back into the magical side of things. I’ve been wanting to finish the aspect work with the 72 Angels and Demons I started so long ago. @Anziel_Merkaba’s 72 operations have made me a bit envious, and it kind of feels like I have to finish it, if that makes sense.
I’ve also been going back and forth for a long while now about whether to attempt the Abramelin operation. There is a lot of bias on this forum against the HGA due to it’s RHP connections, but during my consultation with EA back in January, I specifically asked if the Abramelin operation, and the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel, was compatible with the LHP, and he laughed and said yes, because it’s not really an angel, but something else entirely. Since EA actually completed the operation, as detailed in his book Questing After Visions, I’m inclined to believe his take on it, and it does confirm my own gnosis about it.
As EA famously stated in his work, “All that bring power must be possessed,” and the Abramelin Operation is something that should not be ignored simply because one has a bee in the bonnet about the Right Hand Path. It indeed brings power, and, though part of the process involves bringing the “Legions of Hell” under one’s command, EA described it more as a establishing a life long pact than any actual binding in the name of some god.
Poiel is the best news ever. I don’t understand why you would even consider messing with his opponent if he got so close to you. He will grant you whatever you ask him. I should start to know. (Poiel/Poyel is my birth angel.)
Well, I’m back to where I started. I have returned to my former abode, now renovated after the fire. Full circle. Regardless of the spirits called and the magick cast, I was unable to manifest something better.
However, there have been some indications from divinations performed by others that some major forces may be up to something behind the scenes of my every day life, and possibly could be blocking any magick aimed at improving my material circumstance. In other words, the universe gave me a big middle finger when I asked what was going on lol
@Katrina It’s not what I believe, it’s what I know. I’ve been at this a long while.
Hey man. I have been following your journal for a while now. Happy to hear that you have a roof of your own over your head again. I hope you are well and everything gets clearer for you.
Still in the process of getting back into the magical groove. Doing simple breath meditation each morning and night and occasionally some chakra work.
I’m not sure in which direction to take my explorations now. I’m still hearing the call to pathwork with the angels, but @Eye_of_Ra read my circle and sensed Belial close to me so I don’t know in which direction to move.
Back in January, in private consultation, EA told me that he will immerse himself completely into a current for 1-3 years when learning a new system.
I constantly dance between working the angelic current and the demonic current and I feel I haven’t really fully explored either one, and, as a result, may not be experiencing the fullness of my magick.
A divination through Homer that I received from @Lady_Eva picked up that i am unsure of “who I serve” with my magick, and there is truth in that. I think I am still stuck in the duality of right and left, and God and Satan.
In my consultation with EA, he recommended that I do a self dedication/initiation to Satan and the Forces of Darkness, but I don’t want to cut myself off from other paths and currents. I prefer the freedom to move in any direction, and to work with any entity I choose to.
Hey DarkestKnight, if you don’t mind me jumping in your journal for a moment, I thought I’d offer my experiences here in case they’re helpful.
I used to work with many different kinds of spirits without diving too deeply into any particular system for too long. I’d work with angels for a couple days, then the genius spirits, then just sigils with no spirits, and then a demonic evocation or two, all back-to-back. At the time, this was exactly what I wanted to be doing with my magick, and I benefited a lot from exploring the occult world so broadly.
Now, as you may know, I mainly work with Lucifer and the demons in our Legion. Having “sampled” many different forms of magick (and having worked deeply with the angels, for a relatively brief time), I want to dive even more deeply into this system which strongly resonates with me and master the ins-and-outs of working it (at least, as much as anyone could be said to have mastered any magick).
Over the past year or so of working nearly exclusively with Lucifer, I can say that I have benefited from focusing only on this one system. There certainly are advantages and disadvantages to working with these particular energies, and one thing that I have been learning is how to best play to my strengths, while covering for my weaker points.
I don’t want to offer any unsolicited advice, and it is ultimately your life and your magick, but I will say that magick isn’t going anywhere. If you feel like diving into demonic work for a while, the angels will still be there when you feel that it is time for a change.
You can “should all over yourself” about how this is wrong, but why not play to your strengths and use a system in which demons are summoned under the name of their specific angel?
That way you get double-bubble and are honouring what appears to be a deep-seated belief, while using angelic power (per E.A.'s advice) and yet keeping demons, which you are evidently also drawn to, in the mix.
Sometimes change is good and shaking the foundations, other times it’s best to go with the flow. I have things I believe which some may scorn as limiting, but I get better results working within my own paradigm, so why change just for the sake of things?
Hiya OP! There’s a principle I call ‘saturation’ which is examplified by EA telling you he spends 1-3 years in new currents. Your mileage will vary, but in essence, saturation is the level of synchronization achieved with a consciousness or energy field where you harmonize with it in a deep enough way to produce similar fields/consciousness, it isn’t resonance because it requires an active connection whereas resonance produces similar effects from passive presence.
There are two primary ways saturation is built:
‘Grinding’. Like what EA said, you can delve entirely into one thing and saturate yourself with the energy involved in that before moving on to the next thing. This ‘notches the dashboard’ in a way.
Deep interaction. What I mean by this isn’t the conventional pathworkings and spirit-based spells (‘trades’ or movements of resource energies), but fundamentally interweaving your being with others or their energies. There are twoish ways this is accomplished- consuming energies (or the part of a spirit you are directed by them to eat), or having intercourse/interself with a spirit, which occasionally leads to temporary mergers at the fundamental level.
The reason IME Door 2 is better than Door 1 is because grinding is really, really slow. It has the advantage of making you observe what you are to become/use, but even sophisticated, patterned grinding efforts take time and are dependent on your conscious understanding. 2 circumvents that by skipping the surface step and immediately influencing the inner levels of the self, which surface to your observation upon meditation. 2 requires a lot more trust in the spirit(s) than 1, though.
In any case, there is a system of dual christeo-luciferian observance inherent to St. Cyprian, Jason Miller has a lot of stuff on it but you don’t need that information to access the system.
I took part in the group ritual of @Qayos this morning. It was an interesting experience, even though I didn’t do anything big, just visualisation. I did get a sense of massive energy being drawn down though.
I’ve taken to wearing the Belial pendant given to me by @Eye_of_Ra, and chanting the Song of Belial at least once every day. I have worked with Belial before for one off tasks but this is going to be my first deep working with him so I am seeking to connect with him on a further level than i usually do. I even invited him to join me at a play a couple of nights ago, and I’m pretty sure he enjoyed it
After a few minutes of chanting the Song, I have been giving a simple call: “Mighty Belial, I seek to connect with you. Throw open the doors of Godhood to me. I seek absolute mastery of my material life, and to elevate my throne above that of God.”
i’m thinking of using some fasting, and sleep deprivation along with my usual trance method to deepen my altered state for the first evocation.
I’ve decided to work more with my physical body and energetic systems. I have felt a nudge telling me that I need to build up the various bodies to handle greater amounts of power, and my current energy practices may be insufficient.
I’ve started looking at my diet, and simply noting down what I eat and/or drink each day. After about two weeks, I should have an established baseline from which I can add and remove different things and gauge my emotional equanimity and energetic output.
I’m doing EA’s chakra exercise again, but have also added a separate meditation focused solely on the Mulhadhara. I’m also thinking of increasing the amount of my qi gong practice.
Hey, just want to plug yoga here for a moment. I’ve been on-and-off the mat for a while, and I notice a definite improvement in my daily well-being when I’m more on than off. The body just feels better, and this carries over to the mind as well. I haven’t done any qi gong, but I would imagine that it would have a similar effect, especially if the practice is very physical.
