King Belial - Fallen Angel Or Demon?

Thanks for the correction “you’re right”.
Well I can say from experience is that King Belial is extremely powerful so it wouldn’t really surprise me to learn this spirit has a Diety background.

I’m not contradicting you or being confrontational. I appreciate what you’re adding and how you’re adding it.:+1:

If you’re interested in a modern grimoire that works with him as a god, Mark Allen Smith’s The Scorpion God is generally well received.

He finds that the trinity Hekate, Belial and Lucifer are the principle deities, and he takes a devotional and invocative approach with ceremonial magick to work with them.

I like the sound of that. Hekate, Belial and Lucifer those are some heavy hitters. I might have to check that out. Thanks for the recommendation.:+1:

In my opinion/experience with him he’s a demon, originally an angel but like many beings who are capable of getting a transmutation he was one of them. I have not found any solid evidence on him being a deity, as current evidence of such is a bit shaky at best as it mostly associates a title with him rather than his actual presence as a Deity and his name Belial is purely of Jewish text any any connection to particular Gods is again shaky currently.

If anything currently I’d lean more to titled God which isn’t a real God but one who holds the title God by those who worship him, as there does exist a difference between a Born God and a titled God.

Imho he Is both. He Is a hell of a mentor, and he Is honorable with pacts. He didnt take to kindly about me wanting to do another pact with azazel, he made It clear to not do any other pacts while Im under his teachings. Loves beer, blood, Incense and time.

I really like King Belial, his presence has a very high pitched ring to it when I sense it. It’s Abit unnerving to have him gaze into you/thru you. I was able to nip in the bud an addiction related issue just by working with him. He may not be a born God but he certainly has very borderline powers. Spirits like him blur the line on God/Demon/Angel. He’s impressive no doubt.

Belial in my UPG is a demon. But its just my UPG so it is always open to a fair critisize. I like Mark Allan Smiths trilogy actually, gonna have to take a look, while I don’t agree with everything on there, I will check it out.

That’s not exactly what is lol. Cant exactly blur the line between three different race of beings based off abilities. While there are things Born Gods can do that beings like an Angel or demon can’t they’re different as much as a race of angels is different from a race of demons from a race kitsune from a race of whatever else.

Only titled God is defined by skill and the people’s choice to worship that entity as a God due to it.

I guess your right on that and I’ll stand corrected. I’m just really impressed by this spirit. I usually have real good fortune with Goetic spirits anyway but King Belial to me was especially impressive.

I’m Abit more advanced than a beginner with evocation but I’m by no means a master with it so for me it can be hard to distinguish some of this. That’s where people like you can be especially helpful. You have a broader and more experienced perspective than I do on this area.

Satan is not Lucifer

Well @MagickVigilante tell us all now what you told me about King Belial not being a fallen angel. This is what you wanted, a chance to discuss it with your peers. Your wish has been granted. Let’s go. Lol

never said they were. / symbol do not mean equal

If you put Lucifer/Satan like this, I assumed you meant equal

Lol well he might a fallen angel, but the energy I’ve experienced felt demonick, I don’t know

only you would think that. others know / slash symbol don’t mean equal. It’s not even relevant to the discussion. why you hung up on It? seems your not focus. Even if we were to say they are the same being, it don’t matter. they both fallen angels of which the post discussion was about.

Alright @MagickVigilante now that I can agree with. (Disclaimer UPG coming) He certainly does not in my experience have an angelic energy. He’s very firmly a “dark side of the force” kind of spirit to me. That’s my UPG

Let’s take as example three fallen angels, King Belial, Prince Orobas, Marquis Phenex.
To me the three of these spirits have a very different vibe. To me and other magicians I know Marquis Phenex feels very much angelic. Prince Orobas less so, more demonic but not a frightening, bite your ass kind of demonic, King Belial, very powerful demonic vibe definitely in the category of “tread carefully or I might just bite your ass”.

So I understand what you’re saying about the feeling. I felt it too.

Others may or may not relate to my examples although I know a few Magicians that experienced these spirits similarly. If it resonates that’s great if not chalk it up as upg and we’ll move on.

That’s true @anon37593562

I don’t find his vibe scary, maybe at first, but yes he’s very raw and strong

I’m not afraid of him either, we’ve been introduced and met one another. I have great respect for him and I recognize he could be very demonic if he wants to be. That’s not a bad thing, it just is what it is. I found him to be very protective and helpful tbf.
