Is there a Magick reason for dogman’s or heck even the mothman I like to hear some perspective and theory’s about what you think as Magick practicioners
Meaning did a mage create them? No I don’t believe so.
Assuming the do exist, and are not just hearsay and copycat stories of people who were drunk, high, and/or misinterpreting something, I would say many are simply beings that share the planet with us, as we say the Djinn, the Fae and other beings do.
But some, like the Chupacabra that sounds really to me like dogs with mange, or those that are misidentified half rotten remains of droned animals or whales, they undermine the whole field. It’s certainly true that some people like a bit too much drama over what’s real.
Dogmen are at least sounding like actual physical beings, those stories sound less mysterious than just very rare.
Fascinating thing about dog men, there appear to be two types, the benevolent and the malicious. I have heard a few stories about dog men being legitimately curious or helpful then others outright baneful.
I didn’t hear the beneficial stories yet, but I follow the Dogman Encounters yt channel, and there does seems to be a consistent thread… usually the people coming into contact are hunters out in the middle of a remote forest on their own, they are armed, they get intimidated and start shooting, and that’s the point where the entire tribe of Dogmen start a manhunt, find out where the guy lives and go after his whole family. Sometimes the fbi get involved, relocate the family out of state, and hunt the rest of the tribe into oblivion, hushing up the whole thing. I’ve heard that scenario a few times.
This reminds me of the Malacanti and Benandanti.
Yes I’ve heard about dogman on both sides of the moral scale
The WHATanti? Sounds interesting but I don’t know more than that about what you said
I wrote a report in school about them. They were said to turn into wolves, and fight rival witches, known as the Malacanti.
The book is quite interesting.
