I am an absolute beginner and I have been wandering for the past few days to summon a djinn. I know the rituals and the type of djinn i wish to summon. Recently my life has not been going well both career wise and personal and i feel I need a friend to guide me through the obstacles of life in near future. Any suggestions or precautions i should take?
Depends on the Djinn, and that you actually get who you asked for and not an impostor. ’
If you do not yet have your spiritual hygiene and protections set up, and know how to banish unwanted entities if things do go wrong, I’d say put some time into getting that understood first. Think of them as safety precautions, like having a fire extinguisher on hand on the 4th of July - you hope you don’t need it but if you need and and don’t have it you’re in big trouble.

I know how to banish an entity in theory however I’ve never used it practically since I’m yet to summon any spirit of any kind. Thanks for the heads up anyways. I will definitely read more about protection and banishment.
Djinn are not beginner friendly. They are known to be unruly and hard to control, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Know by heart the words of power, angels and Elder Djinns in case you need to banish them. They follow the hierarchy of these names, so you can use it. There also some Daemons like Shatan and Asmodeus (Asmodi) that have authority over them too.

Initially I’m thinking of summoning a weaker djinn that is of the sila or sila’t tribe. They are know to be more human friendly and I’ve read they are very intelligent and have great knowledge. Since I require just that I’m thinking of summoning a sila’t djinn. Although I’ll keep your advice in mind and not try to summon them until I’m ready.

I recommend the book Djinn Magick from Corwin Hargrove, the method to call the djinn is easy in terms of difficulty, and the words of power in that can be used to dismiss the power of other beings (being of a ignea, aqua, aerial or telluric nature). They can be used in exorcism and other works, specially with more pesky and “human like” troublesome spirits.
