I’ve been doing my very best to communicate with a spirit companion of mine via automatic writing … It’s very frustrating because I want to be able to communicate with them directly (see, hear, and feel them). Anyways … I wanted to know if automatic writing is appropriate, effective and whether what I’m doing is wrong or not.
Yes that should be fine. Automatic writing is a way to get information from your subconscious, and it’s that subconscious mind that is doing the actual communication with the unseen.
What about actual channeling of messages?
Channeling involves possession where the entity takes control of your body and speaks for you.
Most people who say they are channeling are not doing anything of the sort.
What they are doing is the same concept as automatic writing, shamanic journeying, astral travel, clairvoyance and clairaudience etc… Your subconscious is again getting the information first, and translating it - into writing, impressions, flashes of imagery, downloads, visions or voices or other senses including emotions, touch, smell and taste.
