I always felt revision was like lying to yourself , but last night tried it on a relationship and it felt really good , will probably keep repeating until the old memory isn’t there anymore .

hm… never heard of him but sounds interesting. Will check.
Thanks fort he tip mate. And congratulations on your healing.
keep it up

Edit: Oh, i’ve done something similar of this revision technique before. i was trying to maybe see some past memories from a different point of view. Maybe interfere with that memory in a sense. But it was more in a soul retrieval sorta thing. Had no idea this could be used in other ways.

Zero idea what this site is but Revision explanation

if you wanna read his stuff… and don’t wanna buy a book yet, there are huge huge amounts of them free online - from memory even a site called freeNeville I think :thought_balloon:

Actually I hope I’m allowed to post the link, someone confirm if I’m not and I’ll remove and avoid in future

I’m not sure if Neville is out of copyright or not, but the above link is fine, as there’s nothing copyrighted on it.

Is the memory a trauma? I’ll have to read about the technique more. It sounds very NLP like so far.

No I don’t really have any traumatic memories , just things not going the way I wanted them to go!

yeah that’s what you do. repeat until the old past is gone and the new one is the only memory you see

Found this technique on Youtube days ago and I am trying it daily.

I manage to keep the scene in my imagination, but seconds before I fall asleep I completely lose control of the scene.

you don’t need to fall asleep if you lose focus. you just need to relax

Hmm idk if I’m doing this differently to people but I’m in my bed just going back over my day

The picture you see I don’t think is necessarily the most important part, of course I am visualising as I run through tho

But I’m in my bed and “remembering” (revising) what happened as tho I’m still in that day, and now I’ve got to the part of that day where I’m in bed and going to sleep with all the emotions and feelings that had that been my “real” day I would be getting into bed feeling or even thinking

I don’t have to go straight to sleep… I could also do something still within my ‘revised day’ but living in the end - like decide in my revised day I wanted to read balg forum posts! Or do some other meditation… yes you want it as close to sleep in that you’re relaxed and you want it to be the last thing you think of … but I just do anything else and maintain that I got to that part of my day and carry on till I sleep

I’m really not sure how well I’m explaining it - but you don’t wanna “watch a movie” you wanna be the character “in the movie” who’s remembering through their day and bring the movie to life around you - attempt to actually use your 5senses, get it as real as you possibly can… if it’s a partner maybe you start imagining their body heat in bed cuddled up to you etc

Maybe you started revising your day as you didn’t hear from the person you’re trying to manifest (or whatever it is you want to have gone different) … but now you’re not just “tweaking” - you can jump right to the person living with you if you wish

As long as you stay “in the movie” as the character you wish to be until you fall asleep I think it is okay to not worry when or how fast that comes between when you began revising

So for example you wouldn’t do a meditation or ask questions at the time related to anything that is current since with revision and all Neville things - you’re “living in the end” so you don’t need to ask those questions on balg or whatever as well why would you do that? If you have what it is you’re after? But you might just find browsing or other areas of magick happen to be interesting you as are dropping off

Tbh Brian Scott sleep meditations are like 5 hours type long … revision is used and it’s not the last thing or first thing

I’m usually still awake a bit beyond revising my day when I do them…

They’re brilliant!

Studied the method further. It’s basically the foundation of certain NLP techniques, anyone drawn to this should seriously look into modern NLP techniques if they want to push the teachings to the next level.

I think the revision technique certainly is very similar to NLP altho when I had a few sessions I was told to “watch” the movie

And obviously I was trying to clear a traumatic memory not give myself a lovely one

Here you do not want to watch a movie … you wanna live inside the movie… Truman show/Neo style

NLP is something I have been meaning to dig into further tho

I have not heard of this technique or of Goddard before. based on what is said above it sounds like the opposite is true. - if you got the negative stuff going on when you go to sleep you program that into your reality too🤔

Yup :+1:

However it is far harder to do

So don’t worry

But we are always being put into altered states and hypnotised - :tv:

Basically this is something you do like it or not… becoming aware of it you can change it…

But it would be stupid to worry over having negative thoughts ever… half the time that’s just in our conscious minds… youd have to do it a lot in an altered state eg theta brainwaves plus maintain the emotions of something bad being present for a while to actually change anything for bad

Revision technique is simply one method people aware of the LoA use. It’s not the whole thing

LoA law of attraction? haha I read the Secret a long time ago  10 yrs? I gave up on that after about 2 months. requires as much faith as the Christian religion. recently started calling it another faith based initiative :smirk:.

maybe I will read up on that and try it. I can visualize objects easily. before working on 3d animation I knew what the backside of the object looked like before turning it around. But visualizing things that haven’t happened yet and visualizing in the way magic requires is very difficult for me

There’s NLP techniques where you immerse all 5 senses and change how past events went down. It’s been awhile but I think Kent Sayre is one of those practitioners. It’s been awhile since I’ve studied it but, might go back towards it to blend with magick.

There’s a ton of fluff flying around with people who teach it

I personally can’t stand some of them, Esther Hicks I’m very non fond of but then meh some people like it the way she does it :woman_shrugging: they build it up into way harder and complicated than it actually is IMO

It’s a law just like gravity, it’s there if we like it or not

However, harnessing it and getting what we want … while very simple, takes effort and practice

2 months isn’t very long  I decided it was all BS too once, didn’t affect me whatsoever to go nah BS… but then I wanted to work out why some works for some and not for others and ended up falling in love with it again but via Neville. More substance in it less stay swirly in a happy clappy vortex… which will work for some but just not my thing
