Has anyone had any experience with the book Initiation Into Hermetics by Frank Bardon? I just received a copy by chance.
Whats up?
Yes.
It is one of the most comprehensive magical training systems I’ve seen.
There is a great podcast going into depth on this system where 2 magicians share their experiences in magic and give advice to those training in it and a bit of what to expect.
It’s from a blog called The Perennial Magic.
If you’re interested in Bardon’s stuff, I highly recommend it.
Easily one of the best self-initiation books, if you stick with it.
There are also the Rawn Clark’s “guides”: A Bardon Companion: Rawn's Commentaries - Links
Thank you! I am going to start studying and check out the blog.
Got it hardcover as a teen. Didn’t understand it. Sold/gave it to a bookstore - in near mint condition. Twenty years ago you could pick up new, paperback editions of Franz Bardon for next to nothing in the Philippines. But I didn’t. Should have. Didn’t.

It’s strange how long I have been practicing (20+ years) and I’m just now exposed to this material. I’ve always been solitary and until I started engaging with this blog, I rarely spoke to anyone about Magick… It feels like it came my way at just the right time. Maybe I wouldn’t have been ready to understand when I was younger.
Exactly my sentiments when I came across Bardon’s work a few years ago. If I had my way I’d put a disclaimer in the book: Only for persons aged 35 or older.
His material is around, if you search.

That’s me!
IIH is a must-read for a modern occultist. Bardon’s praxis proper of magic is one of many and you can take or leave it, but IIH more than a manual of Bardon’s arts is a Hermetic survey of the totality of occultism in the modern age; like any good Hermetist, he has made a master key of his work.
Of course.
I’m here to learn and help if I can
