  • Apollo is credited with killing the cyclops in retaliation for arming Zeus with the thunderbolt.
  • In the Etruscan religion, he was known as Aplu.

My favorite myth is when he and Zephyrus, God of the West Wind, were trying to win the affections of the handsome boy Hyacinth. Needless to say there were shenanigans, Hyacinth died and Apollo transformed intoa flower.
