In Evocation an Initiatory Practice?

Is evocation one of the INITIATORY PRACTICES ?

From the moment I discovered that practical Kabbalah’s is described as theurgy, I began to see magic as theurgy. I don’t know what made the foolish Jews stop practicing magic.

Is anyone interested in Buddhism and theurgy who can help me? INITIATORY PRACTICES And now I will share my experience with you in the book THE BAPTIST’S HEAD COMPENDIUM Magick as a Path to Enlightenment I’ll call it Nirvikalpa

One of the most important practices of yoga is Dharana.or Dhyana According to the book Roots of Yoga I found a type of Buddhist Dharana called Shamatha

Mind and yoga, wich have place in Western magic, are also important in Tantra.

Seek assistance with Shamatha, VIPAŚYANĀ, and theurgy

No. “Initiation” is from the word “initialize” meaning. “to start” - it is not a practcie. A practice is something you do over and over - you practice doing it. Initiation is usually the first stuff you learn on joining an order. You have to be initiated to learn the skills in the order, which may include evocation rituals - that depends on the order.

Kabbalah is one type of magick - its is only theurgy because it’s involved with the Jewish idea of god. “Theurgy” means, involving gods.

I began to see magic as theurgy.

Why? There are many magickal paths that do not involve gods or even entities. You can practice magick as an atheist. Lavey Satanism is an aesthetic tradition for example. Folk witchcraft is magick and does not have to call any entity to work. Divination and energy working are not theurgic either.

You are welcome to start a discussion about a question you have in Buddhism, but you may be better of going to a forum that caters specifically to Buddhist practice. This forum IS for all kinds of magick, but we don’t have as many members getting very deeply into religions.

@Drakon11azrael please try to keep your posts ON TOPIC.
You posted this in the Astral Development thread, and it has nothing to do with Astral skills development specifically.
Further off topic posts will be removed without notice.

First decide which hell, then you know which gods, and what tradition they dome from to contact them.

The Hel of the Norse goddess Hel, is not the same as the Hell of the god Jehovah in Catholicism (they don’t recognize any other Els as gods in that religion) , or the multiple Hells of the Japanese.

The underworld of Moloch, Shitan, and Samael

Those are 2 entities from 3 different religions (Moloch is not a real entity, it’s a modern egregore of a mistranslation), which have 3 different underworlds, and none of those entitles are the rulers of those underworlds.

A good book for you would be Manly P Hall’s “Secret Teachings of all Ages” - this gives a survey of the cosmologies, pantheons and beliefs of many different cultures and religions so you can understand more about what you want and the difference between them in context.

So far you are making entity soup, and it’s not going to be very sensible or useful for you.

I mean qliphoth also Thaumiel shaitan and moloch and Galachab samael

I am trying to know his cosmology through Kenneth Grant and demonology in this book

If you’re looking for qlippoth in this particular Ford book, I don’t think it’s in there. This one focuses on Canaanite magic and mythology

So this is a long copy paste from a course put out by Monastery of the Seven Rays. Is there a reason you’re posting it without citing the source? And what does it have to do with evocation?

See what’s happening right now is you’re posting a lot of random stuff with no context and with little or no commentary to tie it into the topic. So there’s no discussion happening. This thread is becoming a dumping ground for whatever random things you come across

I was asking about INITIATORY or Initiation and Shamatha, VIPAŚYANĀ asc or mind control

At the beginning of my speech, I mentioned that I know of another type of meditation and I wanted to share it.

It isn’t clear how except for the word qliphoth at the top of the screenshot

Please stick to the subject of the topic, and start a NEW topic for a different subject.

Initiation is a totally different subject to meditation. These are different books for different practices. Pick a topic and focus on it, you are getting nowhere running around in circles and not focusing on anything to give it the attention it needs to learn it.

The topic of this thread is this:

And the answer was “no”.

As the question has been answered and this is not a discussion, but as mentioned, a “dumping ground” for other people’s work, I am closing this thread.

Please READ the rules.
