There is NO reason not to revive a dead post, just be aware that people tend to come and go on forums about magick so someone who was on in 2012 not be on here right now to answer. But there is NO rule, or even guideline, against it.
That said, you can also quote the relevant part and start a new topic, which can work better in some cases. Discourse (this platform) does put an automated thing asking if you’re sure you want to revive an old topic, but that’s built-in for every forum run on this software platform and can be ignored.
If you spot broken links, flag them as Something Else or PM me, there is also an explanation of what to do if you find a link to a post within this forum which tells you it may be private and you do not have access, here. You may find broken photo links as well, again I will attempt to fix these, or posts made ugly by broken formatting, shout me up, they are annoying to me as well!
Absolutely never!
90% or more of problems get sorted out via conversation by PM to try and sort things out anyway.
You’ll be aware we now have a no-politics rule, this came in September last year from the admins, if you spot an old post before the rule which discusses politics, that’s no longer permitted but I’ll simply Unlist (hide) the post and close the topic, and let you know why. This is the only sea-change in terms of what can be posted, where older posts differ from what’s now allowed.
