My question is do you believe in being able to reach immortality through study and practice? Or is it an unreachable task?
Insofar as the magickal mechanics of belief seemingly function to censor and guide ones perception of reality, choosing to believe in the ‘impossible’ is the only sane option for one who hopes to achieve it.
Which is to say: yes, I do.
Understood. So i take it you believe there is a spell or ritual or other form which would allow sich a feat?
Perhaps a spell/ritual could do it, but my current thinking is that it is more about developing a set of skills/abilities/powers than of learning a particular magick ‘recipe’.
If one could perfect healing to the point of mending those injuries traditionally known as “aging”, one would possess eternal youth.
If one learns to be lucid and coherent in the astral state, and learns how to prolong it indefinitely, then you achieve the immortality favored by many vampiric organizations.
If one could learn, too, how to manifest matter from nothing, and to do some FROM the astral state, then you would not only survive material death- but return from it.
I suspect these feats to be very closely related to one another; more like three different expressions of a singular power than not.
That is a very interesting interpretation and i like your resoning. I think its about becoming one with who you are and understanding the different aspects that go into reaching the end goal.
Welcome back to the forum @datkushguy I have noticed that you have never done a proper introduction as is required here, so before you make another post, please click here and tell us about yourself and any experience you may have in maigck, such as what you practice, how long you have practiced, areas of interest, etc.
