Mainly to defend myself. I want to be a able to retailiate if things ever got nasty. With people, they are oppressing me and my ethnic minority people. I feel for them. I don’t know how to defend them. I never thought I’d do this, stoop so low to seek help from a demon. But here I am. I feel so horrible, the god of my ancestors would be disappointed but justice is not served. My heart weeps for them. Please help me. What can I do to start, to increase my power? I am just a girl…

Do you have any practical experience in magick?
If so, what exactly do you practice and how long have you practiced?
Do you follow any specific system or tradition?
What are your areas of magical interest?
So why don’t you ask the god of your ancestors for protection, or other entities not on your favorite religion’s shitlist? Angelics and Saints, Pagan gods and the ancestors themselves can all do this and are probably not whatever you think a “demon” is.

There’s many threads here for working with ancestors, setting up ancestral altars and all sorts to that end. You don’t need to work with a demon, and if you have the mindset that they’re bad or evil as suggested by your post then you really shouldn’t work with them because you’ll get what you expect.
You should focus on developing a relationship with your ancestors or any other class of spirits you’re comfortable with like Mulberry said. Also, from my experience ancestors don’t really care what god or religion you follow. I work with mine who are from an abrahamic religion that I rejected and left at a young age, they don’t have an issue with me and they’ve even helped me with family issues and evidently favoured me. My point is that the god of your ancestors is of less concern than your actual ancestors, they won’t get angry.
If you’re deadset on working with demons then be open minded. In your mind if you consider it “stooping low” to seek help from them and you do it anyway, you’re unconsciously going to be screwing with yourself.

So let’s break this down simply:
Actual powerful demons do not give a flying fuck about anyone until you land on their turf. They are completely pacificist towards you until you do something to upset them, or you’ve been doing some really bad stuff that warranted a curse. They aren’t some blood thirsty hounds that suck the blood from infants while they sleep. Speaking of which it annoys them to be depicted that way. Because you’re confusing them with Leeches or Astral Parasites which are far below what a genuine demon is. An actual demon is an angel whom rebelled against the submission of Adam not some fictional beast. Get it right early or it will bite you later.
With your current mindset of practice, you need to reset your mentality. For what you think is what is to come. As above so below.
You need to purify and learn to banish.
Purify by abstaining from sex and drink for some days to weeks. This will cleanse your body and mind and act as a clairvoyance for your future. Meditate and reground. For if your mind is wild then your voice will yield you no results because you will fail to properly channel and fuel intention which is the groundwork and foundation for all magick.
Okay I get your point. I’ve never contacted my ancestors before. I don’t think I am at that level or comfort to do so. I was hoping someone would suggest entities who could protect me. I really don’t care if they are demons. But just because they are doesn’t mean I have to like them if I keep up my practice. I don’t get what the hang up is about liking them. They’re like the gangsters of the spirit world. You ask them for things and hope they grant it for a proportional but I don’t want to give too much and regret it. Being smart is important.

I don’t practice anything. I also don’t like religion. I have a bad reaction to the Abrahamic religions, ie the one I won’t name but I know that many of the people in this forum have fought to break free off. I have an natural aversion to the teachings and basically I tried to seek help using the Bible and I got a bad reaction from the entities there. They betrayed me. Somehow they hate me. And I’ve tried angels most of them ignore me. When they were around I always felt less like myself, not uneasy but like they were unconsciously trying to control me.
I came to write because I had a really terrible reaction to my prayers to said problematic religion. Suddenly things became erratic and things kept appearing to make my life difficult. They sabotaged my career and separated me from friendly house spirits who try to protect me. That’s when I know that they are not on my side.
Like why was it happening I don’t know. I don’t think anyone I have ever met has such a bad reaction to ‘Abrahamic help’. I also feel uneasy around the holy names. I know it’s just me but I just wanted to exist but they won’t let me
I don’t really practice, I want to learn how to keep my enemies at bay. Like people who hate and judge me, and I can feel things so I’m trying to not let bad energy affect me but it’s so l hard. And even like going to church like I get a bad vibe and I’m not safe. I don’t know how to protect myself from that. Also I’ve seen demons before there was demons who tried to kill me like on the astral so I’m kinda careful… that’s why I want to learn protect myself. That’s the main deal.
Practice, practice and more practice… That is the only sure way to become good at anything
Start with sigil magik, fairly easy. There is a guide on here about perform that sort of magik, and from there depends on your confidence, you can decide which path to go next
Actually, asking help from a daemon is quite the opposite of “stoop low”, it is reaching the highest version of oneself that enables them to make contact with these dark beings in the first place - Might need to rid of that attitude to get started
You had mentioned the need for protection, you don’t always have to reach out to a daemon for protection, you can also reach out to angels, like Michael as he is the archangel of protection and defense - If you feel more comfortable with that
Azazel, King Bael, King Paimon, and many other daemons can all teach you black magik and aid you to master the dark arts. It all depends on your discipline and focus
Draw a sigil of Lucifer, on the other side of the paper write your petition, in that case what exactly you want (increasing your power) - You can be as specific or as vague, but the more specific, the better so can gage your work better. Everyday you wake up, open the sigil (check out the many guides on how to do that on the forum here) and state your intent. You can accompany that with a 10 min meditation if you choose to
Do that for about 21 days or until you feel a shift in your energy, what you mean by increasing your power - of course, only you know that. So, look for the signs…
Some of your ancestors’ gods might well be what is classified today as a daemon, there is so much b.s about daemons and anything that is not a part of the abrahamic traditions in an attempt to distort the truth, you might be surprised to find out

I’ve seen first hand what they did to happy families and how they hurt indigenous communities
I’ve sufficient energy work to feel what types of entities there are. I know the difference between nature spirits water spirits, and demons have a distinctive energy signature. I also said some demons TRIED TO KILL ME on the astral if you read both parts of my posts. Why would I SEEK the help of a being that is going to side with what wanted to harm me? I’m sure all this devotion has a price so I will weigh everything carefully in consideration.
I have astral projected enough to know that these things do not care if you are friendly to demons or not, if you meet a random demon on the astral and he wants to hurt you, he will.
Isn’t that, just taking the power of whatever being you follow, instead of actually growing your power?
Michael is not a daemon, he’s is an archangel and he is know to fiercely protect those who call onto him for that purpose
Whether you choose to “follow” or not is completely your choice. That is the main difference between working with daemons and religions, unless of course there are specific work you are doing with these being where you need consistent like a path working or a path to achieve something(s) specific, most of the time, no follow is necessary, simply state your intents to them and dismiss them and watch how reality reshapes around you to bring forth your will
Michael does not require the magician who call upon him to “follow” him in any shape way or form - for building a stronger connection with him, you might find daily meditation with him to be of tremendous help tho
Calling on any inter-dimensional being is you growing your powers in a sense to begin with, and no, whatever you request from these beings, be in Satan, Lucifer, Michael, etc… They are doing it by your own power. You give them the power (yours) to carry out that task for you
Growing your power, Lucifer as I said can help with that tremendously. I am not sure what happened in your case in particular, but I doubt Lucifer was trying to kill you. Otherwise, you probably would not be here talking about it J/S, besides that is not really what Lucifer is known for - to kill - unless the target is deserving, in which case, then the target would have met their demise with ease
What Lucifer is mostly know for is just what you are seeking. Aiding those who want to increase their spiritual abilities I.E(their own inner powers) - Lucifer can help you cultivate that yourself, to the point you no longer NEED to call on an external force. This process takes time to develop, but is very much possible with discipline and dedication
