I have a question about " Lucifer And The Hidden Demons " by Theodore Rose

Is it okay to perform lhd everyday?

Yes, Be careful, though as pathworking may seem simple, but it can have real energetic effects and you donā€™t want to burn yourself out.

I got burnt out. I was doing two pathworkings a day for various goals, and to be of service to the demons and give them opportunities to affect this world, and I naturally just backed off from it for a while. I didnā€™t feel drained or anything. It was just natural to take a break.

Just one ritual is draining. I will do it once a week.

Interesting how peopleā€™s experiences are different. I use this book (LHD) a lot. Sometimes I do several rituals in one day but I never found it draining. The book I do find very draining is Angels of Wrath. Very effective, but draining. I find the process takes a lot of focus to do The Stillness, then summonimg up the anger you feel, then transmuting it. I feel drained if I do more than one ritual a week, let alone a day, lol.

I slept the entire weekend when I remembered that I did LHD and that could be why I felt so lethargic. I remember feeling the same exact thing doing AOW. I feel at peace doing magick. However, I notice Magickal Attack rituals especially The Master Curse causes me to lose temper like the anger lingers for a while.

I have been using LHD from past few weeks , it hardly takes like 30 seconds to visualise all the images and this doesnā€™t feel good to me , i try to visualise that i am moving and exploring the area that the author asked us to visualise

Like for example when we have visualise the black tree in Lucifers path working i explore the tree i sit down under it , try to meditate under that tree

But this happens so fast that it doesnā€™t feel right
anyone else have this similar experience ???

Iā€™ve been using this book (and Goetia Pathworking) the past few weeks too.

It happens really fast for me as well. I got slammed into Luciferā€™s realm from doing the direction on pages 20-21, not even the actual pathworking for him. Not going to get into all that here but heā€™d wanted me to reach out to him for quite a long time (I never had before, like at all).

Iā€™ve been in contact with Belial for a very long while though and his pathwork from GP was the first one I tested. I got there really fast, like pretty much as soon as I was done visualizing the last part.

There was another I tried a few days ago with a spirit Iā€™ve never been in contact with before. This one was also from GP, Bifrons. That one took a little longer to get started but it was still pretty fast, like maybe 2 minutes instead of seconds. Still just as intense and vivid as the others.

(Now I avoid reading the pathworkings while looking through either of these books unless I really want to connect with that spirit in the moment. I visualize and sense things way too easily from reading.)

Before joining this forum, Iā€™d never heard of pathworking before, but itā€™s kind of what Iā€™ve been doing much of my life? Like Iā€™d think of certain visuals and Iā€™d get in contact with an entity real quick. It only worked if Iā€™d already established a connection with them before though. Anyway I am not sure if itā€™s working fast for me because of that prior similar experience or if itā€™s a mix of that and the path workings just being that potent.

You are not evoking or invoking the spirits into this physical realm, but you pay a visit to where they dwell. Iā€™m guessing that makes the difference in speed.

Can you explain why @DarkestKnight? Iā€™m interested to know. I know the process works, but sometimes my rational mind makes me think how can it work?

Do you have to be in an altered state of mind? If so, how?

Not sure , I think itā€™s not fully required but it does help. I believe the writer says itā€™s at least important to be able to visualize it. I donā€™t have the book on me, so I canā€™t check.
Iā€™d advice you to carefully read the intro before skipping to the pathworking descirption. Especialy the part where he explains what the ritual looks like.

You can search for ā€œTheta Gammaā€ or TSG on this forum or google for possible pointers. Or google ā€œself hypnosisā€

In short, practice meditation. Which is a basic foundation for any type of magick and ritual work

Focus on a point on a wall or a corner. Then switch to a ā€œgazeā€ meaning donā€™t fully look at that spot but softly look at an imaginary point in front of it in mid air.
When it feels like when you are daydreaming and everything around that point gets kinda blurry, perhaps you see some static and/ or lines vaguely disappearing and reappearing. That is the state you want.
The more you practice it and the more you practice going into that state and coming out of it, the easier it will be to reach that state.

Thank you. I will start to meditate. I am a beginner at magick so I really appreciate you all being so accommodating

What I usually do when doing a ritual is play music to get me in the mood. There are lots of free tracks on YouTube to get you in a theta state - binaural beats etc. Iā€™ll message you some links.

NP! Hope it helps you on your path ^^

Yes please. Thank you. Iā€™ve seen binaual beats to get to Theta state but I also see comments to be wary of them.

Thereā€™s nothing dangerous about them if someone is in a position where being in an altered mind state isnā€™t going to cause problems. So like, not while driving or using heavy machinery. Maybe avoid them in the tub lol.

They should probably not be used if someone has mental issues that could be exacerbated by them either.

Just kinda be aware of what they do thatā€™s all. There are lighter forms that you can try out first to get some idea of their effects.
