I fear karma

I don’t believe in karma but I understand that lack of evidence for something is not evidence of the opposite. It kept me afraid for doing curses on people who violated me. 15 years I ago I performed a small destruction ritual where I stabbed the image of the person in anger. My intention was to symbolically sacrifice him to free myself from rage that had consumed. My rage was so strong that I never thought of the consequences so it lead me to perform the ritual. It felt good and had a good night sleep after. Some days or weeks later I coincidentally overheard some former coworkers talking about that he went into a car accident. Since it was such a small ritual I thought it was coincidence but after learning setting up a ritual chamber (from the satanic bible) I’m pretty sure that my curses could be deadly when done i ritual chamber. I thought I never got hit by karma because his accident was coincidence. My point is I don’t dare to perform curses in the ritual chamber because I’m afraid of karma. I’m afraid of being cursed and having my curses backfires. What can I do? It has haunted me for years. I can perform astral vampyrism effectively without feeling any remorse so it’s not a remorse problem I have.

The actual concept of karma is far more nuanced than just that and there’s multiple types of karma too so you shouldn’t just worry that “if I do a bad thing bad things would happen to me”, because it’s believed that karma isn’t just a simple backfire but rather affects future births, relatively small karma come back in this life unless you’re trying to burn it. It’s generally agreed across the tantriks that I’ve spoken to that if you do a death curse to protect yourself against someone who intends you harm then it’s not going to be a karmically bad thing, if you do it over a mild inconvenience or something then you will though.

Also it depends how you perform it, if you simply ask a spirit or deity to help you and provide you relief from a situation and they happen to end your targets life as part of that, it’s entirely different to if you yourself did that. The consensus from what I researched was that the first wouldn’t acquire karma because it’s the deities will, while the second may cause karma.

If you’re worried there’s many karma burning practices you can do regularly though. Because personally even though I believe in the karmic system, I still won’t hesitate to protect myself. I don’t believe you would ever get punished for protecting and defending yourself. Of course, that’s if you even believe in karma and the actual original understanding of it as opposed to the western one.

By the way, don’t you think you’d accumulate karma for not defending yourself?

The destruction ritual I want to perform serves as a form of enemy sacrifice. If the person dies in the real world I don’t feel any regret. I do hope of course that my released emotional energy is strong enough to effect the person so he gets cursed because if he is dead by disease or accident he can never harm me again.

If you think it’s worth the effort, just go for it. Don’t let yourself overthink this and be firm and confident, do it and forget it after.

Use Belial or any other spirits, Metatron, Hecate, Kronos, all of them can help you break that limiting believe. For me Karma is a stupid idea, because first of all I see God/Source as a being above any type of moral, it just want to experience things in other beings more limited (That’s the “Cosmic Love” that some New Age people talk about, unfortunately very misunderstood by them).

I’m also not fan of the entire social castes in India that arose precisely from this (that poor people have bad karma from past lives, they think that’s why they are poor).

Addendum: This is very common to happen, to eastern concepts being distorted or changed to fit and look more “clean” to Western people.

I do but still something keeps me from doing it. I cannot get rid of considering the consequences from my mind. I have tried to look for ways how I can enter into that state of rage that lead me to perform the small destruction ritual 15 years go.

The problem is that I can’t figure out if it’s actual karma I fear but rather fearing being cursed whatever my other people or my own backfiring curses. Strange is that i have no problem with performing astral vampirism on my enemies.

It can be something that you were conditioned to think, like the Pavlov experiment. That’s not so uncommon, in fact many of us are born with psychic tentacles from other people trying to make us become conformed to the social taboo. Education have also to do with that.

But there are many ways you can free yourself (if that’s really what you want), like self hypnosis, NLP and even the occult can help you. Like I said, deities and demons will be more than happy to help you with this.

I think it comes from when I studied a lot in the past from JoS about death spells that the aura should always be cleaned after baneful work which I was never sure of that I could do. I’m unable to do visualisation because of a brain damage so I have relied on symbolic acts when it comes to magick work. I also wondering if there is a difference between a death spell and a destruction ritual that release energy out that affects the person so they are destroyed in diseases and accidents.

You don’t need to imaginate a lot when it come to this. Even Pathworking can be done just by reading the words, just state your intention to clean any unwanted energy left by the ritual.

Do you do any practices that effect in knowing something called by Crowley a"True Will"? Conversion with HGA? The thing is- did you think for a moment , that maybe YOU are the tool of this guy karma you cursed to bring it to him?

The question I ask myself is if the cleaning happens when the magician burns the poppet in the offerbowl after the ritual killing of it.

I work from a LaVeyan system of magick. You know I don’t invoke spirits but mythological archetypes to enter a specific emotional state. My power of magick comes from emotional intense.

Ok, so as I remember, there is no such thing like karma in LaVeyan philosophy, and the only retribution you could experience is if you perform crime and get caught, or if the victim will defend itself. Also guilt is something LaVey teach to get rid off as the christian thing, but also think for your wellbeing (doing a crime could get the person into a prison, so it is also against the wellbeing of the person).
The LaVeyan “magic” as I remember is not to cause the magical effect on the world as we understand in other systems where we summon spirits to do the job etc. but it serve, in some way other, and similar purposes:

One: to fullfill the spiritual needs of satanist - not everybody have the spirituall needs, but LaVey recognised that some do have the need for some kind of spiritual experience, like attending to the masses. So he propose the rituals etc.
Second: To experience catarsis - to get rid off the emotions that are the burden to us.
Third: To act as a internal, emotional trigger to do some action we require to be done to get the desirable results - sometimes we need the kick in the ass to do the thing - it is probably the closes thing to spiritual magic in LaVey’s philosophy.

Taking all of this into account, if you didn’t cause the physical harm directly to the person, it is not your fault that he get into car accident.

The true question is: are you an ateist? Or do you believe in some spiritual force? There is that thing called “Synchronicity”, when we just do the “emotional” work, and… things happen. The real world things.
This can mess with the mind.
Well, it WILL mess with the mind, and change the person you are. And you will probably need to adjust your views on the world and something you could call “spirituality”

Actual yes. LaVey stated if the emotional energy released in ritual was strong enough it would affect people so they got cursed or blessed.

I don’t care about beliefs. I want to know what happens to me if I do this and that. It’s all about being aware of cause and effect.

This is in logical conflict. If you didn’t care whether it was real or not, you wouldn’t be afraid of it or asking this question.

Then you are shit out of luck and you will never get an answer. Because there IS no objective, evidence "Truth™" about karma, it is only about belief: Karma IS a belief.

You cannot see it under a microscope, you cannot eat it or smash atoms with it, you get some effects and you can speculate about the causes being unseen energetic relationship, unless you develop your senses and then trust that psychic intuition, called UPG, all you have is other people’s UPG - which is the same thing as belief.

Nothing. Your fear all by itself will create this situation, even if there was no “karma” to be had.

Even if as @Seraph rightly pointed out, you are fulfilling the karma of the perpetrator, your fear will create new energy that can harm you, because you have made it so

I keep trying to tell you, you are the only magickal thing here, not “karma”, not tools, not other people’s dogma, you. And fear is a strongly manifesting energy from YOU.

So as long as you stay afraid, don’t to anything, you are very likely to make the situation worse.
And then your fear will be justified, but you did it to yourself.

Maybe it’s not really karma I fear but curses itself. What lead me into the destruction ritual so many years ago was my rage being consumed by it and as we know rage removes fear.

Rage doesn’t remove fear, imo - fear creates anger but masks it, if you were not afraid you wouldn’t be angry in the first place. Then anger created hate. This is why they say the opposite of love is fear, not hate.

Maybe try figuring out what you actually want as a result of the curse. I would suspect, what you really want is to stop feeling bad about what happened.
In this case, flinging curses is probably not going to do that - you might think it would because “justice”, but most find after they get revenge that they still feel bad anyway. So the objective is not met and you basically wasted your time, karma or no karma.

In this case, the object of your magick wants to be yourself, to grow past the negative feelings, feel better and refocus one something productive and fulfilling.
On the other hand, if a person is actively in your way, that’s when a curse to remove them is useful. Instead of focusing on fear about doing something that sounds relatively useless, why not put all that energy into something that progresses your life forwards, in spite of the people that did you wrong? It’s the best revenge imo, to succeed when enemies wanted you to fail, reducing them to unimportant blips in history.

You are moving on uncertain ground, that is why you do not feel confident.

If enlightened like Buddha did not make a mistake and the law of karma exists, then everything is based on dualism for balance.

If there are people, there are spirits

If there are demons, there are angels

If there is foolishness, there must be wisdom

If there is ignorance, there must be enlightenment

If there is injustice, there must be divine justice

You can use the power of angels to punish the unjust. Many grimoires of white magic have been written.
This will keep your conscience calm and bring good results.
