What’s the correct way ? Do’s and don’ts and everything about pact making

the best one is the one you actually do. You’re making an agreement with another being, how to get them to the table doesn’t matter at all in my mind.
Here’s a pretty good tutorial - just switch out the entity for the one you want to talk to. Ask it in advance before you get into ritual to do the pact. I’ve done that - assumed a pact was wanted, got into ritual only to be told “no”. It’s a bit deflating
