But if I’m not mistaken doesn’t E.A.'s book Evoking Eternity and Azazel Steal Fire From The Gods has that same sigil(1st image) but if that’s the case would Azazel just tell tell E.A. " …by the way thats Agrippa’s sigil of Saturn." …so my theory on this is that Azazel is use to it so he comes regardless if your using the wrong sigil or not…what’s you guys take on it?
No offense but given the last scan I got from VK I dont think I hold his stuff in high regards, but no just because he uses that sigil doesn’t mean other people should or that others were getting it wrong lol. A being can have many sigils.
Using sigils to invite a demon is not necessary. With your mind, you can invite the spirit you want to, even if you use the wrong sigil or without sigil. Your motivations to invite a demon still focused on him and he’ll get the “call”. The sigil just a tool, can be omitted at any time.
There are many sigils you can find. Some of them are for an exact person, period or goal, and some of them are well known by the public
I suggest sigils to people solely as a point to focus on, but also not focus on if that makes sense. I personally don’t believe they’re necessary, but can be helpful as it gives you a fixed point to put energy into instead of staring at a wall.
EA has discussed the Saturn and Azazel connection before in one of his videos, so I think he is well aware of it and has is own reasons for using that particular seal.
You could also ask why people keep using the seal of Satan for Lucifer, instead of one of the seals of Lucifer found in traditional grimoires like The Grimoire of Pope Honorius, or the Black Pullet.
I did read the article, though, and no where does VK say magicians should be using his seal. The seal is simply labelled as “original sigil for Azazel,” meaning it came from his UPG.
@DarkestKnight …Yeah I’m not gonna lie, the whole Satan and Lucifer sigil still bugs me till this day. In Evoking eternity E.A. say to use this sigil :
BUT then it get EVEN more confusing because the sigil he uses for Satan is extremely similar to Lucifer’s Sigil the only difference is that it’s pointy on the ends compared to this 1 :
But then it just gets WAY to confusing because I have tryed to evoke him him before and people told me NO. You don’t use that 1 and 1 guy sent me a link to a thread that tries to explain this debacle that church if satan or whatever there called that said they recommend that you only use this For Lucifer :
But then it gets even MORE confused because 1 guy told me when he Uses Lucifer’s Sigil to summon Satan he’s Like “Oh fuck is this the right, guy??” So I have no idea I just stopped trying along time ago.
I feel that sigils are all fine and good, but names carry weight. If you have your own special symbol and someone writes it down to call you, wouldn’t they get better results by calling your name?
I find that thoughts alone won’t get you anywhere in evocation, especially given there’s most likely multiple beings with the same name and you opening yourself up to mimics and fakes or even your own subconsciously manifested tulpa of that entity.
Azazels sigil is a combination of Blade and Chalice, so it isn’t unreasonable that anything resembling the same concept may be used to draw him. But that’s just a quick thought.
VK was also the one who said, that your intention can call the right spirit even if you accidentally have the sigil or a completely different entity. Which I agree with.
All his sigils are personal to him. He makes them available but doesn’t get weird about dissing other people’s sigils that I noticed - he can’t, because he only uses is own sigils, so how would he know?
What he does exemplify, is making your own magik. Magik is highly personal, and it’s not a bad idea to form your own sigils as part of your personal connection to each spirit.
By using other people sigils you could be also adopting restraints on the energy of the entity called by those sigils as stored in the collective unconscious. For most people that’s not an issue.
Basically it doesn’t matter that much. Use your intuition and do what feels right for you. I would say, though, be consistent. Once you picked a sigil and it worked for you, keep doing that.
For what it’s worth, I’ve invited demons simply by asking them to help me. I haven’t done any specific rituals or sigil work to do this and, almost every time, I either recieved the help I asked for or depending on the Demon, recieved the help that I needed.
I think that sigils for the most part are, like any altar piece, a tool to direct intent at best. They can be given personal sentiment and that sentiment can help make things work better for some, but I don’t think a Demon really cares if you do or don’t use a sigil. Some might prefer it out of pride, but whether it’s absolutely necessary is debatable imo.
Then again what do I know?
I’m just a weirdo that texts demons in my spare time. So don’t mind me. XD
