Helluva Boss

I want to offer my soul to Helluva Boss daemons Octavia Stolas is that possible.

You can’t transfer ownership of a soul and Octavia Stolas is just a made up character inspired by Stolas of the Ars Goetia. You can, however, get involved with his/her thought forms of this character if you like chaos magick.

Eyy Jack
What this about fictional spirits and whatnot, like the thought forms you mentioned, is their magickal power comparable with, let’s say Goetic entities?

Most of these spirits are based on the Goetic entities and or humans, If it helps you can just view it working in another universe these are just my personal believe there really is not such thing as fictional spirits there is only spirit, even me and you are just that spirits anything in/out of the whole of the ominverse and beyond can be channeled and work with it does not matter at all you must do is evoke you can channel them the same as any other spirit,

mportant to note that character and the spirits are not a one to to one but they can be very close,

For that matter any magic you see from any pop culture media can be work as any other form of magic magic is believe of one own souls of what they can do if you will into being then so it shell pass, human are gods after all we make whole other universe for other to see just like you can work with spirits from other realms the same go for these universe

As for offering your soul you can’t really offer your soul , you can make pacts with anything if you really want to and you have the goal to do it and follow up on the pact it the same for any spirit in experience all you must do is trust yourself evoke/channel and forge the pact

Oh and probably learn how to tell energy apart

So Stolas from Helluva Boss is inspired by Stolas the demon. Octavia, however, is an outright invention of the show.

I think you should look into the book Pop Culture Magick: A How to Guide to Practical Pop Culture Magick by Taylor Ellwood. The author has a series of three books on the subject.

Also, Create a Servitor Companion by John Kreiter might help.

I would not recommend going into these workings with the intention to sell your soul. Try to approach it with an empowered attitude.

Well if you believe they are more powerful.

Actually, I don’t know if there is a way to compare their powers independent of the magician.

How do you sell your soul?

As many have already pointed out that isn’t technically possible. The ā€˜soul’ is not a thing that can be sold. It is not an item whose ownership can be transferred, even saying you have ownership of your soul would be dubious.

However, I do love being a contrarian so I’ll try to offer a dissenting opinion. I think maybe everyone’s easy dismissal of selling your soul is based on pedantry. When we say ā€œso and so has sold their soul for wealth/fameā€ I don’t think we mean that they sold some metaphysical part of themselves. Instead I think that we mean they have been fundamentally changed by their goal in some way. When I hear the phrase used it usually means a bad thing, here are ways I’ve seen it used:

  • In pursuit of some goal the person has done horrible things that their past self would have been ashamed of.
  • In pursuit of some goal the person has lost their sense of self. Now they keep pursuing the goal even though it makes them miserable.
  • In pursuit of some goal the person has lost their very reason for pursuing the goal in the first place. An example would be seeking wealth to support your family but in the process of gaining the wealth you push your family away.
  • Becoming beholden to some person/power that you can not escape from.

From that I’d define selling your soul as ā€œBecoming so devoted to something/someone that it/they takes priority over everything else in your life, even your own identity and happiness.ā€ Essentially it is a step beyond submission. To sell your soul you just need to start prioritizing something to that degree. Researching worship, devotional practice, and deity work would help.

Again I would not recommend approaching magickal practice with this attitude, you should feel empowered.

This is an interesting take as it is essentially what happened during my previous incarnation. He hurt many people and caused much suffering in his pursuit of wealth so some uppity ā€œhigher powerā€ took it upon themselves to bind my material prosperity in this incarnation.

The closest to selling yiur soul is a rite of dedication.

This website has a lot of information on it:

" selling your soul " is when you love a spirit so much , you become a part of them in the afterlife ź’° i think ź’±

I think that would be merging souls rather than ā€œsellingā€ one soul

I heard somebody from Aaiyyanist foundation say that it takes 17.5 years of doing daily merge rituals with an entity to fully merge with them.

That seems like a really odd number and random, I think it really on the person and the eninity and how much they invoke them how strong they are connected with each other etc

Probably based on past experience because the Dravidian spirituality goes back 5000 years. Ain’t saying it has to be 17.5 years but is most likely around that mark. *if it’s true what they are saying

Seeing Helluva Boss on this site gave me whiplash. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised given the series’ interpretations of various Goetic demons, but still.

You can’t. It’s just Hollywood propaganda. And if you could, souls would be useless to spirits.

But even if you could, as people have pointed out, it wouldn’t be the ā€œrealā€ Stolas, just a thoughtform. And Octavia is, of course, completely made up. So is Stella.

Does the real Stolas have consorts and children? Possibly (I don’t know, because I’ve never worked with him). But it wouldn’t be Stella and Octavia respectively.
