hi, I am a young practitioner from the United States. im very new to all of this, I only have a couple months of “experience” or contact with this sort of stuff. I figured that it would be best to find a solid community where I can discuss topics regarding magick or spirituality in general, and how I can incorporate it with everyday mundane life. I am going to refrain from writing a whole autobiography but I will say a few things to help give context as to how I ended up here. A couple months ago while in rehab started looking more closely the concept of occultism and demonology. I began experimenting with simple stuff like sigils and a nightly meditation. I also stumbled upon the Temple of Ascending Flame while in treatment and I started to explore more with that particular current once discharged. I read up on the Draconian Ritual Book and experienced a profound glimpse into the current. However the way I approached it at first while in active addiction resulted in strange psychotic thinking paired with a dangerously inflated ego. My experiences have been confusing, strange, unexpected, but necessary if that makes sense. I am looking to build momentum on this path I am trying to walk while hopefully gaining clarity on the way. I am currently not in school or employed so my day to day is quite empty. I wouldn’t call it stagnation as I’ve been in stagnation before, I know what that’s like. Its just quiet right now, a bit still. I am tired, my energy feels low which is expected given all the shit I put my body through with drug usage. This is however me comparing myself to the average person my age, right now I’m doing relatively well. I’m looking forward to getting to know some of you and I’m open to any questions or advice

You might find the story and info in E.A. Koetting’s The Book of Azazel relatable and useful. I’m particular, the focus on protection while rebuilding your empire aka life from the ground up.
The old youtube audio version can be found free on Rumble and I’ve posted it around here somewhere more than once.

I see inflating the ego as “cutting the ties” and it has its pro’s and definite cons. As I have learned the hard way, it isn’t enough to cut ties, but to also balance it out by creating new ones.
