Is anyone aware of how a hell hound is summoned/evoked, and their uses in magick? I understand that it’s possible, and I figured this would be a good first big step of mine into demonology.

Hellhounds are a myth from ancient folklore and
are symbols created and limited only by your imagination. They can not be summoned but they can be read about from works of fiction and old legend.
From Wikipedia: “A hellhound is a supernatural dog in folklore. A wide variety of ominous or hellish supernatural dogs occur in mythologies around the world. Features that have been attributed to hellhounds include mangled black fur, glowing red eyes, super strength and speed, ghostly or phantom characteristics, and a foul odor.”

They belong to Anwnn or Herne. There’s a couple of posts about them here somewhere. Ask the owner to lend them when they’re not busy.

I fed them steak for several nights and asked that they consider taking care of us if they were sent otherwise. I spoke to them and asked they tell their master i only wish to protect mine. Having no clue where or why they showed up after a near tragedy. When i was young i only ever had one black “ghost” dog in my life. These two shook the vehicle on a straight road.

you can create a servitor or a familiar spirit with the appearance of a hell hound but to actually shadowmance and pull together a hell hound of legend is apparently extremly hard unless you have already been doing some really dark magick.

Hecate the mother of witchcraft and the demon Satan himself can guide you to hellhounds. Although Hecate can help you with hellhounds calling on Satan himself will help you just as much. Hellhounds are fierce protectors. I used to work with a Hellhound familiar given to me by a powerful witch. They can help with necromancy and black magick but I typically don’t go in that area
of necromancy in the occult.

Uses depends on what kind you got. As a general rule crossroads, graveyards, and old train tracks are good places to summon them.
If you want a higher chance at a friendly one head to a 4-way crossroad and put yellow chrysanthemum on all 4 sides.
As a side note just because it seems “light” doesn’t mean it’s a harmless one.
Uses vary as I said so be sure to know what you want from it before you head out.
Think of them as basically liminal dogs, if a physical dog can do it one of them will probably be able to handle it as well, but don’t bring a chihuahua as a hunting dog.

Hell hounds would be hard to control for some best thing to do the one who controls them we’re all named already speak to one of them ask to lend one for protection as familiar n there you go

You can summon them in a ritual. Hecate and Lucifer are said to be the ones to ask.
There was a good ritual I came across online,I planned on doing it last year but forgot all about it.

Seeing as I’m a chaos magican what normally wouldn’t be possible because the spirit doesn’t exist is entirely possible within my own practice. Thanks anyways though.

Wouldn’t it be the same way you strengthen any thought form?
