What do I need to do?
I know I have to pay the guards and owner but what and how? dont want an attachment
Paying the guards is the rule, but the most important thing is to also leave something at the entrance before entering and ask permission from the cemetery chief spirits. then once your operation is finished take a step back then turn around and leave without looking back
Maybe it depends on who the graveyard is for, I never heard of that, didnât âpayâ anyone and thereâs no issue.
What I did find is thereâs spirits there who want you to just not be in the yard at night, but for correcting dirt you donât need to do that at night, as thatâs not the ritual yet.
If you have the skills to talk to the presence, talk to them as you would antibody if they challenge you - theyâre people, treat them like people.
If you have no skills you can state your intention to do no harm. You might sense youâre unwanted but nothing is going to happen to you.
I did it once and I didnât know I had to pay the guards . I bend to collect it and when I go up and turned I saw the ghost of an elderly woman who chuckled at me and vanished . Never screamed like that in my life
Early on in my necromancy practice I once went to a local graveyard I had done some work in before and simply took some dirt from a particular grave and left.
I had severe and painful problems in my lower abdomen not long after. The entity afflicting me was not one of the guards but it was due to my error in not even acknowledging these âguardsâ that led to this attack. This entity was concealed in a manner whereby I was not able to sense it and I had to summon a shade to take care of the issue. After the shade was summoned and stepped into the concealed place this entity was hiding in, the pain and problems cleared up instantaneously.
Proceed soberly.
I should probably caveat, but Iâve only met these once in one yard, and other yards, in daylight have never had the⌠they are people, but theyâre not nice people.
I was at the edge of a yard outside a low stone wall at night looking for my cat who was missing. That was enough to activate 3 hostile presences that warned me not to go in. I stood my ground as my cat was more important to me, and they were not going to get in my way. Being on the side if right there, there was nothing they could do to me - rules like this matter. If youâre there to steal you lose the high ground.
However diplomacy and tact are the first things to try so I explained the situation and they calmed down, were still gruff, but could tell me they hadnât seen my cat. So that was the extent of our negotiations, I didnât need to enter as they gave me the info I needed. I asked if they knew more or could help and they said no. They donât owe me so I left, thoroughly unimpressed. If I had wanted something they would not have stopped me, but there may have been a fight.
This was an older local yard for a Lutherian Christian Church but the presences did not feel so recent or Christian, not as Christianâs today are, as far as that energy signature goes. Probably Native American.
Iâve been in our cemetery in town and felt an entity that didnât want me there. It seemed angry, and I heard âIâm going to scare the sh*t outta youâ telepathically. I communicated that I was just there practicing sensing spiritâs energy, and I sensed the same type of response that you did, like it was âreluctantlyâ ok. Iâve been in there at night since then and havenât felt that again. I often wonder if it is not so much guardians of the cemetery, but spirits that feed off of death essence and such (e.g. Ghuls) and maybe they are territorial.
I thought you were talking about paying off or bribing the caretaker and owner of the cemetery, for a minute there.
I think in short⌠Be mindful that you are in a solemn place. Be sure to honor the guardians, respect the graveyard as a whole and the grave you are taking the dirt from in particular. As well as respect other visitors, of course.
Someone please correct me if I mightâve done something wrong or forgot something. Iâve been doing âgraveyard workâ purely on intuition with only a little to no actual knowledge of necromantic graveyard etiquette to guide me, but this is what I did on what I consider my most succesful retrieval trip so far.
Before going out I did a short and simple rite honoring Hecate (personal preference, I think any underworld guide or deity should be fine). Before entering the graveyard I took a moment to honor Death itself and considered myself leaving the mundane world and entering a part of Deathâs realm. I left 5 coins at the gate/ entrance and entered backwards. After wandering around for a little while to get a feel for wherever I felt I was supposed to be. I left a few small dried roses of the bunch I also used as incense in my morning rite on the headstone of a grave that was going to be removed shortly. I took a moment to consider the life of those buried there and honored them by saying their name put loud before I took 3 white pebbles from the grave. That was the only time I made a sound, the rest of my time in the graveyard was in strict silence. Once it felt I was done, I also exited the graveyard backwards.
Funny thing (to me) is that I actually went there with the purpose of getting myself a wand, but came back with an addition to my collection of fetishes.
These pebbles have no attachments as far as I can sense, have been part of some pretty succesful operations and are generally among the most treasured pieces of my collection of fetishes.
This is also a very actively catholic graveyard, but felt no spiritual resistance to my heretic/ pagan (or if youâre a christian, possibly even satanic) arse being there.
