So the solution is not making it easier for autists to be more accepted and successful in the workplace, but just let them do porn? This is not a good point at all. Not. At. All.
Iām sure the gods above applaud watching people waste all their ascension/magickal fuel on screens , all Iām gonna say
Oh but you did:
No, what I mean is, you make it sound like instead of making the workplace more inclusive and understanding about people with autism, the easier solution is doing porn. Its like saying āLook, these women would have no way to feed their children. The prostitution is a benefitial way to solve their problemsā.
Why are you asking that? Are you implying someone who is not autistic themselves cannot speak about the issue? What if I worked with autistic children? Does that qualify me? This is a useless question.
But with respect, by coming onto a topic described harms and describing your own joy in your experience of the work as though countering arguments made for harm, you are in fact invalidating the experience of many people who:
-
find porn to be detrimental
-
have researched the harmful effects of online porn use. which differ from any previous sexual experience humans have encountered
-
realise that not all porn is about consenting adults having a lot of enjoyment and fulfilment in their work
-
the inescapable reality, that sex work as a whole has an underpinning of abuse of various kinds, and that this abuse, being more akin to rape than a crime against property, is harmful in a very lasting way.
I contend that your experience is blinding you to these things, and that your words are painting a very rosy picture around the entire field of sex work which denies the pain of a large number of people.
Both sides should be able to speak out, something I can say without ceding any ground re: my own thoughts on ther matter. People can read this and make their own minds up, after all.
Please be so kind as to quite it, I genuinely canāt find it, probably due to the walls oā text weāre both generating here. ![]()
Not at all, my approach though would be for you (and other people who are choosing sex work) to not paint your experience as representative of all sex work, something which I will quickly requote:
in many situations, i debate someone with pure intuition. it usually goes well but I can be mistaken. I wonder if either of you are exercising that, I try to use pure intuition with everything i say, havent seen anyone else quite like that so much. sorry if this looks off topic i was just wondering
Literally no one is saying addicts arenāt important. You are doing a fine job of representing the more critical aspects of sexuality and societyās experience with it. Itās important for people to get help. We donāt have appropriate mental health care as it is. Itās not a creators responsibility to know the mental health conditions of users when itās largely anonymous as it is. This is where personal accountability must be valued. An addict has a right to be informed. The information is out there, and as I stated - youāre doing a fine job of reflecting more critical concerns. Itās important for people to likewise take responsibility for themselves and their actions and do what is best for them.
If youāre wondering whether or not I acknowledge the possibility that someone could be addicted to my media, I do recognize that, and I wish for all people to find healing in whatever ways they need. I provide endless resources for people who may be struggling with such difficulties and always urge people to make informed decisions. I do not take joy from ruining someone elseās life in order to benefit my own. Thatās not what itās about, and to pretend like it is is foolish.
So many things are addictive. Are you boycotting all distributors of all addictive experiences? Regulations exist, and thereās so much conversation about porn and sex work. You could easily put disclaimers on porn sites or instead shift focus to supporting more ethical platforms for porn and more ethical working conditions for sex workers instead of pretending itās all a social cancer.
Thereās the shadow side of porn and sex work. Iām illuminating the benefits, which you seem to be having difficulty acknowledging exist.
First this is wrong. I had once asked every guy in a classroom whether they watch it or not. Only 2 or 3 replied no out of 60 guys. This is no lie. And this guy are not super cool.
So you still think that those who watch porn are not successful in life?
How are they paying for subscription based services?
Pornhub took few days to generate million visitors per day when they first started.
Pornography destroys peopleās lives in ways too numerous to be listed.
And, for men, who are more visually oriented than women, porn is much more addictive than many āilegalā drugs, which will cause the brain and the whole body to go ābrokeā.
So, donāt fall prey for this purposefully-created-crap called pornography.
Heās measuring his success based off his formal education accomplishments lol
100k in debt and jerking jt to porn every night is success in this world XD
Your post wasnāt only created to discuss the harmful effects of pornography. It was a general prompt of āpornographyās effect on majick.ā My experience has been positive, so of course my speech is going to be positive in nature. That doesnāt imply that I donāt value knowing the real, harmful effects it can and does have. Iām not going to lie and say that porn has ruined my life when it hasnāt. I will admit that not every time Iāve consumed porn has been healthy. Iām certain many who watch porn could agree to using it as stress-relief at some point. Itās absolutely valid that Iāve utilized sex as a coping strategy previously but that had way more to do with masturbation especially considering all the times Iāve masturbated without the assistance of pornography. I had my first orgasm and began exploring my sexuality before I was ever introduced to pornography.
Iāve spent a lot of time in therapy and currently have a great relationship to my use and creation of porn alongside my regular majickal work. Thatās not to say I donāt experience difficulties, though Iāll say most of my difficulty comes from facing social disapproval and people acting as if Iām miserable and wretched, not my personal feelings about using or creating porn.
Again, for the record, I cannot speak on behalf of an entire community. Iām speaking from personal experience and my experience is not representative of the entire sex work community.
Those who start watching it from childhood
You sound dumb as hell , I donāt even know where to start
Donāt consume pornography if youāre prone to addiction and have difficulty with sexual and financial discipline, you mean.
You donāt even have to be addicted , from the moment a teenage boy views it his brain starts getting altered , just accept how dumb it is
This is a nice argument thread.
I donāt think a porn subscription is anymore than Netflix i would hope so I donāt understand that metric that successful peolle can afford porn
Ok tell me how this business is getting flourished?
Lives get destroyed fine
but its earning shit ton of money.
Exactly. The speech surrounding āsimpsā and these ālonely losersā consuming porn is disheartening. It shits on the intelligence, strengths, and beauties of people who arenāt addicted to it or in a financial porn debt. Haha.
Itās hijackinf the primal nature of people that are lonely and depressed for them to escape reality
Males arenāt the only ones consuming porn, though it is more frequent. I, along with quite a few female friends, love porn.
