Does emotions really help the magick?

in my own experience, with candle magick, the only things i have potentially received from them in regards to channeling emotion is a deep sense of calmness as soon as the energies are released. i do not know if this affects the magick in itself at all or only channels the emotions back at me to reassure myself that it is working. I usually only practice white magick so i channel emotions like calmness, happiness, assurity etc

Connect with any emotions on a deep level allowing it to connect with the higher and what you feel and channeling that into your work syncing both the higher self and lower via by emotions and working with the divine or thy self to move the universe

I know some magickian like Ariel Gatoga and E.A Koetting that agree with that.

Despite being from two different kind of practice, they both shared experiences about calmness and the state of “knowing it’s working” as key to success.

Gatoga even said that curse can be done through that state, over creating insane feeling. But he said that’s a sociopath ability ahahaha.

About this, E.A said that he used to give to much “strong emotions” to hurt his victim within any result, until he used calmness and knowing they are hurt anyway :joy::heart:

I think its more to release those strong emotions from the practitioner and pass the emotional trauma back to the person who inflicted it. Then when its done the practitioner has released it they feel calm and satisfied that its transferred. I think they call it a psychodrama.

I think emotions can both help and hinder. They’re a way to create a piercing in the veil and allow a certain energy to flow from you and through when they’re extreme. And when they’re calm it allows energy to flow through to you. I have heard from people who’ve reported their best magic was when they were angry and cursing their gods. I’ve heard from people whose best magic was when they were calm and empty and receptive.

Ultimately I expect emotions have a higher impact on your own headspace, but then your headspace is the vessel through which your magic flows. It’s like pouring water from a pitcher versus a plate versus a fork, trying to eat spaghetti with a pitcher, a plate or a fork… is it the right tool for the job you’re trying to accomplish? Emotions are therefore another tool in the magician’s toolkit.

Again i think the “less resistance” path is to consider, just as our general personnality. If you are someone who master anger, ofc that will become a channel to direct your magick. So you need to switch the intent of the magick so the energy will fall into place. If you want to bless someone as an angry person : focus on destroying the parasite. Same intent for a peaceful person : see joy entering their day, overcoming the nasties.

Yes and no. What matters is what emotions you employ.

Like attracts like.

So if your emotions are those of stress and lack and resentfulness etc., you get more the same. You manifest a strengthening of the situation you’re upset about by dwelling on the upset. This is how curses work and reason why you need protections for doing them.

If you employ emotions for how you will feel with the manifestion in place, the peace and satisfaction or whatever, that is what you get back. You don’t really need protections as much for this kind of work.

Emotions are key to manifesting, but you have to get them right.

In my experience, will is the only thing that matters in magic. Emotions and thoughts are not important at this level, and they do not create any real changes, except at most in the realm of self-deception.

Emotion is essentially fuel for spells. Like filling up a rocket and launching it off.
