Do geotic demons like to be spoken about/promoted?

I have seen many social media vids speaking about demons , sharing their sigils and talking about them, their traits etc. Some are faceless accounts, some are not.

My question is, if one promised public praise as offering and then goes and does that, it is fair, but what if you’ve never worked with a demon but decide to do a vid on it anyway, sharing sigil and powers etc without first asking permissiom?? Isnt that a bit dumb thing to do? For example, I would be pissed if some random human started talking about me , maybe I wanna stay private??

You don’t need permission to talk about a spirit. That’s just silly.

Historians and anthropologists and folklorists and symbologists and demonologists all study and talk about demons from their various different perspectives with no worries. Hell, writers and filmmakers make books and movies portraying demons in a not so flattering light all the time. People might get offended; imaginary friends do not.

You are a human, a sovereign being. You do not need to ask for the permission of something that may or not have an actual independent existence to share information about it, especially information that is already publicly accessible.

True but respect isn’t silly. Even in this world, privacy matters. If you want it for yourself, why not extend it to what you don’t fully understand?

It’s got nothing to do with “privacy.” You can’t apply human concepts to things that aren’t human. Spirits don’t need privacy; it literally doesn’t exist to them. They’re imaginary and only know of this thing we call privacy through us. We invented the idea.

You can’t think of demons and other imaginary beings as human. They’re not and they don’t have the same sensibilities as you do. Sharing public information on a spirit and its powers is not an invasion of privacy, since privacy doesn’t exist for a spirit and the information is out in the world already. If there is something unique or original that you were trusted with and asked not to share, that’s completely different from feeling like you have to ask permission simply to talk about a spirit and what it can do. Unless you’re a child, you do not need permission from anything. Imaginary friends have no authority over you,

Yeah they’re not human. Don’t project your feelings on to them, it’s just not like that.

Generally they want attention, interaction and energy. Think more like celebrities that have the goal to be known.

Energy follows mind: all attention gives free energy.

Human standards aren’t applicable to spiritual beings.

As for a more practical approach, I don’t talk about this subject with anyone in my day-to-day life and limit all discussions about it to this forum. Where I live people is extremely closed minded and judgemental about occultism, and I have no interest in advertising my practice, at least for now and while I learn and grow in it.

They love the attention and it can be a great offering, especially in the aspect of sharing knowledge, and nothing would ever befall non-practicioners who share info about them through videos and the like! They probably appreciate your sincere worry for them though and will take that into account

You don’t need permission, just make sure to give others true information and be respectful about the spirit you’re talking about

If you were lucky that spirit might come in your dreams for giving and signs or may protect you
