I know there are nature spirits (devas) for plants, animals, and insects. Are there devas for minerals, air, and waterways? Does anyone know more about devas and nature spirits (than is already on here? Any good books or articles on this?
Mineral and air tend to be called elementals, from the Greek. You can work with them under and name as sentient beings under a principle called animism.
Waterways can have “spirits of place”. Same as big rocks and areas that have developed a personality. I guess you could call those Devas. Folklore the world over has many names for these. The Celtic goddess Brigitte started out as a spirit if a healing well. In Russia the Rusalka are spirits of rivers. You also have the Sirens. These tend to be seem more as fae or elves than devas.
Yes but in a way I added Shintoism to my beliefs to better understand cleansing purification and banishing.
Which is the main thing in Shintoism every mineral every breeze you feel has life to it and is believed to hold Kami. I’ve seen many practitioners disturb natural spirits just in cause of their workings. Every spirit should be respected even people still have boundaries within between them and friends.
What I like to do which is also extending from hoodoo religion. Is bless and pray over a stick and bottle I find at a big body of water. Imagining and feeling life inside of the bottle I put the stick into the bottle. It reflects off the sun this is used just as a candle to hold spirits. it allows them to leave and come as they will. Also use less energy while trying to hold their energy in this plane of existence.

Energy is mostly precise conscious thought and can be directed this is magnetism. If your workings are more scientific I suggest looking into magnetism. This helped me understand energy in a creator POV so I understood what events are influenced by demonic beings. That realization was everything happens for a reason magnetism.
Energy can be stuck in a place because of the main resource they need energy.
This could tell you where they are located. Rivers freeways deserts construction zones even can be in the rain that falls from the sky.
