Demonic pact vs working with demon

What is the difference between making a demonic pact and then just working with a demon? Why do some do a pact making?

A pact is a binding agreement between you and the spirit. Mainly, a pact is done for something specific that requires dedicated effort and time.

Think of a pact like a legal agreement. The demon agrees to do something for you in exchange for you doing something for them within specific guidelines agreed upon by both parties.

Simply working with a demon is a bit less formal than a pact, and is more open ended. Think of the difference like doing a job that pays by the hour, while forming relationships with your co-workers, versus signing a contract with the CEO that locks you into a specific job, with a specific salary, for a specific length of time.

What can I as human being do for a demon?

That’s something that’s unique to every demon, person, and relationship. Usually demons want your time and energy as payment, which is probably among our most valuable things depending on who you ask. Sometimes they want you to do tangible things such as offerings, gifts, rewards, or so on. You’d have to ask the entities you work with if and what they want from you.

Is that the reason why practitioner performs blood offerings as blood symbolises the life force?

Often. Blood is also one of the three gateways. The other two are fire and water. It strengthens the connection as well as acting as an offering.

While it depends on the specific demon, generally, they will want you to sit down, shut up, and listen to them. Pacts are quite often used for teaching, and so the demon may request exclusivity, meaning that the demon will want you to agree not to work with any other spirits during the length of the pact.

For example, during EA’s pact with Azazel, as explained in the Book of Azazel, he was required to evoke the grand demon every day for 90 days, and was to work only with him, and the members of his legions.

Or, they may not. Belial always encouraged me to evoke other spirits.

Yep, that’s why I said they may request it
