I was clarifying for myself with regards to the OP what the path of least resistance is;
A short circuit fault occurs when an electrical current travels along an unintended path, usually due to a fault in the wiring or circuit. This can happen when a conductor in a power system becomes shorted or connects to another conductor or the ground.
Short circuits can be caused by: Insulation failure, Flashover, Physical damage, Human error, and Damaged or loosened wires.
Short circuits can be dangerous and can lead to: Fires, Electrical burns, Electrocution, Damage to appliances, and Damage to a home’s electrical system
So in evocation magic, self-protection regarding that would involve constraining the Demon with a Shem Angel and warning it (the Demon) not to just take any path it wants to as you send it on it’s way to get you what you want.
Furthermore, it’s easy to read about other people’s magical success and get fired up and excited so you want to emulate that because it’s all very glamorous eh?
Well, the real world of evocation is dangerous and wild. Not that that’s bad, i like dangerous and wild, i haven’t got a problem with it existing…God likes it…otherwise ‘He’ wouldn’t have made it.
The other metaphor therefore is that of ‘being grounded.’ In electricity ;
Earthing is a safety feature that connects an electrical circuit to the ground to prevent electric shock and equipment damage. It works by providing a low resistance path for electricity to flow into the ground instead of through a person
In dealing with magical forces we hear about the important need to first ‘get grounded’ and there are a lot of ways to achieve this. That’s it, like an electrician must ground what he’s working with or he’s f*cked. .
