Crafting the Air grade dagger

Another question on crafting the elemental grade weapon - the air dagger. What is unique among the Theoricus Air dagger vs the Neophyte dagger is in the shape of the hilt, a lunar crescent that protects the fist. The Neophyte dagger is generally a generic dagger with a ‘T’ shaped hilt.

Would it be a better idea to buy from a Golden Dawn shop? The usual task is for the student to craft their own, precisely.

I think the purpose of crafting it yourself is to ensure your energy is imbued into every millimeter of it. It takes a lot of time to make a knife, carving and polishing the handle, sharpening the blade.

If you spent the same time enchanting it, I think you can substitute - but in reality people don’t usually spend 20 hours or more enchanting things.

I see and agree. Enchanting an object is am interesting phenomenon. I’d heard of Pentecostals finding a cloak on Europe the was enchanted do as to be invisible in the daytime but glowed in the dark do as to provide light in dark surroundings. It took a group effort to break the enchantment, or so the story was told to me.

I can see the bladesmithing and sharpening and polishing it taking great care and time.

Using Activities and Arts and Crafts hours to make my Earth Pentacle and Air dagger out of cardboard and paint?

Use silver color and glitter for Air dagger blade.

Until making the real thing.

You could always look into classes in your local area. Or do a workshop to make the dagger? Would be a very rewarding experience !

That’s true, but I think I’m going to have to do it in a certain way, which takes the skill or hobby and some of the power out of it ( I am partially paralyzed still, so I’m loving in a skilled nursing home rn ).

So likely buy a bayonet and paint the handle and hilt, or laser engrave the names and sigils on the handle and hilt.

You want to buy a double bladed knife with a wooden handle, similar to this:

Bayonets aren’t usually double bladed.

Gotcha..thanks for the tip! The wooden handle is a perk, easier to paint on rather than plastic or metal.
