I don’t know if I’m actually in a relationship with the entities I desire, or if they’re all impostors trying to mess with me. I asked the tarot cards whether that entity wanted to kill me for removing its altar, and the answer came out as yes. Then I asked if it was an impostor, and it also came out as yes, which is even worse

Yeah that’s a wipeout. First, stop using tarot cards for yes/no divination - it’s random bullshit and NOT how Tarot is supposed to be used. Prove it - try it on playing cards, try on 10 in a row - I bet you the tarot cards can’t give you a reliable result on what the suit or color of the playing cards are, so you are basing you work on fiction - don’t do that, you’re just driving yourself nuts for no reason.

Banish and cleanse, as a basic precaution. Take threats seriously even if they’re fake, because the risk is not worth it and you can manifest what you fear, so you have to clean your own psyche as much as your actual energy fields. Get back to a clean baseline.

I don’t think either is fruitful at this time. There’s nothing to appease - nobody cares what a useless impostor things and worthy entities don’t get butthurt over humans being humans.
Work with the entity in the future when you have YOUR OWN shit together and can avoid impostors and time wasting things.

So I hope to shed some light on how this can be done. Unfortunately I had to learn this the hard way as I have had my time wasted with entities who knew nothing and could do nothing. Real spirits will take forms largely in harmony with their natures, but it may not be something that you expect. Their speech patterns and choice of words will likely differ markedly from anything you yourself might say. In the instances where you can see a spirit, it will often be with a level of detail that you didn’t imagine.
