Try invoking him. Power is a matter of skill moving energy. It’s ow much energy you can bring to bear for a result in a given amount of time. The more skill you have the more you can manage.
Building skills takes practice. There’s no way around this. Entities can help guide your practice but you still have to do a lot of work, consistently, over time.

Building off of what Mulberry said, I’d suggest trying to focus that power into a certain aspect. Something that is easily measurable and buildable like writing.
