So recently I’ve had many many thoughts and feelings toward Loki, I haven’t worked with him specifically, but I’m curious about those who practice within the Norse pantheon.
Where did you start with Loki?
What were some of the offerings you gave?
How did that first meeting and connection go?
I don’t have anyone around me who practices or knows anything so I’m primarily trying to figure out where to go from here now that I’ve recognized the call to connect with him.
E.A. Koetting did a deep dive working with Loki and other gods when he did his Viking magick book, and there’s also more discussion in the video course.
Here’s a newer livestream where he tells the Viking stories (from the Edda I think) and discusses what that says about Loki - the gods are very shallow and Loki shows them up. he will also hold up a mirror to you and make you face yourself or hate him.
His video course for Viking magick is here:
There seems to be a word missing here, so I don’t know what the question is - can you restate it?
None. Ask nicely and ask him if you can do something to help him in return. He’s not into shallowness so be careful about “paying” him instead of treating him like an equal. He thinks the gods that demand offering are pieces of shit and wouldn’t want to be treated like he’s one of them.
He’s awesome and not to be taken lightly. I like him a lot, he’s friendly and dynamic, but it’s all a big joke with an undertone of "fucking hell I’m surrounded by idiots ".
He’ll teach you well but not in the easiest ways and turn your shadow work into a gauntlet run.
I don’t work with him, I just talked to him some as part of working through the Viking magick book, and I didn’t call him again afterwards, but that’s because we don’t have the same sense of humour.
Following up to restate my question. Where did you start?
Im sorry I didn’t even notice that. My ADHD is off the charts today and I cant even make it through class!
Where did you start working with loki as in, path-wise? yeah I did the Viking course. If it hadn’t been for that I probably wouldn’t have thought about it.
Most of my study is explorative rather than utilitarian magick. I want to know everything, and the only way to find out everything (or try) is to keep practicing.
