I am making this thread to call up all the practitioners of Sanatana Dharma, tantra, non duality, etc. to in hope be able to first get our own category created here as i have seen many people on here who work with the Hindu deities and others whom are curious asking many questions.I see other categories for alot of different paths but none for one of the oldest practices still alive today knowing alot of magicians on here often work with the Hindu deities so why cant we have one too.My goal and hopes that i can unite the Hindu practitioners here so we can learn and help each other. So maybe the mods on here can think about it and to relay to E.A. Koetting to maybe consider creating a Hinduism category that would be cool. Second i would like to talk to some of the practitioners on here and create good conversation and share ideas, rituals, experiences and practices in hopes to help others and myself on our journey. Also i am currently going through the most craziest hardest time and transformation in my life and i am looking to deepen my spiritual practice and “embrace a lil of the dark side” to balance my energy and learn new things and meet new people on the way to taken my spiritual practice to outer space lol.So to everyone who works with any of the Hindu deities please feel free to indulge who you work with your relationship, how long and maybe some experiences. You can ask me also about anything also ill try to answer if i can. Thanks Everyone i look forward to see where this goes.
me me me!
I’ve worked with Tantra and Aghora principles loosely. I’m also an initiate or Srividya Tantra (don’t practice it actively, anymore).
As most Hindus I was also raised on the RHP, however LHP has always been my calling and have always been drawn to the LHP.
My most Successful working has been with Bhairav. I’ve done several Sadhanas for the Darker aspect of Bhairav (none in a cemetery though). Ive done a LHP/Darker working with Ganesha as well. Most equate Ganesha with a lighter aspect but it’s little known that he has a Darker aspect as well, the rites and procedures are different and tough. I did one where I did a 40 day Sadhana (pact) chanted a tough mantra for 5 hours every night following all the rules and ofcourse got results.
I’ve done some workings with the darker aspect of Kali and some other aspects of her. Again got results.
As I wasn’t raised in a religion which is anti Satan or Demons I am very comfortable working with Goetic spirits as well. Most of my work is with them now. I am however studying and reading up on Hindu LHP as I go along.
I don’t have a set religion anymore, I’m eclectic in my beliefs and and working and am open to learning and ascending from multiple sources.
You could benefit from checking out the Tantric Pagan blogs, they have beautifully drawn parallels between Lucifer, Lilith and the Goetic Spirits and the Hindu LHP.
I chanted a Shiva mantra I read in a book once. This was way before I ever used Sigils or even knew what a Goetic spirit was. I knew positive affirmations was a thing but didnt really realise the Gods were real at the time. The only numbers I used to see was 111, nothing else. Anyway, after I tried the chant for a while, I started to feel light headed and weird, plus started to see 666 a lot (which I always associated with Satan/The Devil) which I thought was weird. Read up on Shiva some more. Funnily enough he’s supposed to help with employment (among other things)
Anyway, bit of Chaos ensued, got fired (from something I hated anyway) ended up in some cafe and the supervisor had some job seeker connections which lead to my current job that I’m pretty happy with overall. Didnt ask for anything, didnt expect anything but I believe because of that is how I ended up here so thanks Shiva, you destroyed my world/illusion
also, my GF struggled for like 6 months to get a job. We were shopping in an Indian supermarket and I think it was her idea initially but she was deciding whether to buy a Ganesh statue. I made her buy it. Couple of days later, made her pray to Ganesh (she needed pushing). Whats the worst that could happen? You pray to a statue? If it works, well you’ll find out. 3 days later she gets a job to a place where my mum returned her vacuum cleaner for warranty (decent and big retail store). Also got her to thank Ganesh. She still doesnt really believe though lol so I dunno.
Are you comfortable sharing which Shiva Mantra you chanted?
Shiva is the Destroyer aspect of the creator and usually how he works is by destorying illusions or things that don’t serve you. I’ve noticed that whenever I was chanting Kali mantras I would have this earth shattering rage that would rise from my bowels up my spine. It’s her energy, the lesson is to learn how to control that. I was a strict vegetarian from 2009-2019. I would notice that I’d have these insane urges to eat meat, heck I felt like I could jump a goat or a cow and eat it raw, that’s how bad it would be. This is because I was invoking her, I felt the same with Bhairav. This instatiable rage and hunger for meat and alcohol. I’d hear my name being called out during rituals and mantra chants, Bhairav (the dark aspect of Shiva) would give me mantras in my dreams. Kali would make me astral project in my sleep and show me things where I was protected, all of this was reflected in my material world. These are their energies. However they do bring about change, purification, fulfilment of desires etc.
This is very similar to how Demons work. The parallels are uncanny and hard to dismiss.
When you work with Ganesha’s lighter aspect, your world isn’t upside down, you get what you want but it comes slower, similar to angelic work.
We pick our poison.
This would be covered by the RHP category, or maybe paganism The categories are less religion specific and more like, black, white and grey/pagan.
There are no categories for individual religions so would it really be fair on the others to single one religion out?
However, I’m afraid categories are fixed and not available to change by petition or mods… but if you wanted to reach out to the site owner Timothy and ask about it you’re welcome.
Thanks for the people who jumped in so far, thanks for your experiences. Seems as though from hearing others experience here and i agree and recommend genuinely , chanting mantras and daily sadhana would be a good way to start a relationship with any one of the more beginner friendly deities maybe acquiring some pictures or statues of the dieties for any of those who may not be familiar or born into the practice or not initiated with deeksha. i would also recommend reading and researching and connecting with others who practice maybe visit a local temple.
I was raised into RHP Hinduism with my family and they perform pujas and daily and holiday practices. as i got older i started to meet other family members and friends who dealt with the left hand also.i was initiated under a swami in my teens learning different breathing techniques mantras and meditations and occult RHP &LHP practices and rituals.Eventually i outgrew the swami as i started to notice shady things and vibe wasnt there anymore. i later met my second guru pandit who really opened me up to a whole world of spirituality and understanding. Also being from the Caribbean and growing up in ny i was exposed to oher practices like palo, santeria, voodun, spiritism. Although i hold great respect for those practices and often commuicate with the orishas as they are helpful and caring i tend to mostly deal with the hindu dieties.
thanks for joining in and the suggestions. i feel the same way in some aspects where i dont have a set religion, and also tend to take things from different practices to intuitively suite whatever work im doing.
thanks for the direction, i think i will reach out and make that suggestion as maybe the idea of Hinduism being a religion with so many different aspects could probably be debated and viewed in same lens as santeria, palo mayabo, or obeah voodun as in the Caribbean in my experience the locals who practice seem to be organized and have services/ gathering and celebrations similiar to hindus and i have seen many on here compare different spirits god demons etc to Hindu gods and demons vice versa and describe their similarities which i think are all aspects of ourselves anyway.
the two most effective deities to me were kali and shiva.
Kali mantra made me emotional and fierce, cried for a first time in a long while. Felt electric, slept like a baby at night, weights on my sholders was lifted
Could you share were you get the sadhana´s from?
For the Kali and Bhairav Sadhanas I simply chanted their Beej mantras.
Kali -
1,25,000 repetitions on a Black mala (hindu rosary) over 11 or 21 or 40 days.
This a total of 1,25,000 over your chosen period. Each rosary has 108 beads, means 108 repetitions. So divide 1,25,000 by 108, which is about 1158 rosary repetitions. Divide 1158 by your choice of days (I always did it over 11 days, it’s more intense)
Mantra - Kleem
Bhairav -
1,25,000 repetitions on a Rudraksha mala (hindu rosary) over 11 or 21 or 40 days.
Mantra - Bhram
Time: Every night after dark.
I would have an earthen oil lamp lit in front of me
Posture: Indian style on the floor on a red woolen asana (it’s a piece of rectangular cloth which must be placed on the floor so you don’t sit on the floor). I wore black clothes, just a pair of shorts and tshirt. Not essential but I felt like I should.
Before beginning I took Sankalp (oath) in their respective temples while offering a bottle of whiskey. ( If you live in a country where there are no respective temples, you may do this at your altar or at your home). At this point you may state your request, and reason for performing the Sadhana. Later during the Mantra recitation when you feel a presence you may again state your request AFTER completing the prescribed recitations for that particular night. Once you’ve successfully stated your request do not repeat it, it may annoy them. Remember one of their main characteristics is wrath, you don’t want to incur that, trust me. However they’re both very benevolent to their devotees.
Important:
- You must follow strict celibacy during this period, not even sexual thoughts.
- You mustn’t clip your nails, or shave any part of your body or cut your hair.
- Do not smoke weed or consume alcohol during this period, although you’re offering them alcohol.
- Shower before your daily mantra recitation.
- Ask what you need help with, with respect, do not grovel.
- DO NOT try to command them.
What you will notice:
- You will feel a presence around you, watching you.
- You may hear your name being called out. I heard it both physically in the form of whispers and in my ears, from the inside like you do when you’re clairaudient.
- Pay attention to your dreams, you will receive messages and things you need to know.
- You’ll have intense, uncontrollable rage at times. The key is to control it, that’s a test.
- You will have increased energy.
- Specific chakras may start pulsating.
- You will need much less sleep. I normally need a minimum of 8 hours, but I usually slept 5-6 hours and didn’t feel groggy at all.
- Maintain an experience and dream journal.
You may repeat only a few times a year, if they give you another mantra via whatever means, ask them and start with that only AFTER you finish your current practice.
You must follow through with the process once you take the Sankalp (oath). There is no going back on your word. There are consequences, unless there are extenuating circumstances. If you miss a day for any reason, to you must start over.
You may recite the Hanuman Chalisa before and after your ritual every night as a ward of protection. You may also recite Narasimha Kavach. I wouldn’t recommend using the LBRP because that would be mixing pantheons (just my opinion).
Kali and Bhairav are both darker forces and have strong necromantic ties. When they come other spirits come with them as well. It’s our job to set up wards.
Several years ago I studied Hinduism from both a scientific and a magical point of view. During this period, I worked more with Shiva, Kali, Ganesha and Hanuman.
Now I have returned to the study of this issue and I am especially interested in the origins of Hinduism, the era of Indo-Iranian unity and the history of deities.
Currently I am engaged in the study of such a deity as Trita Aptya (since I assume that my higher self is connected with this deity) and work with Ganesha to promote my creative project.
To one degree or another, I want to establish a connection with the main deities of the Indian pantheon in order to resolve my questions about the higher self.
I greatly respect the Yogic Sciences and think much of the descriptions of Hindu gods are allegorical explanations of how the energies behave. The same energies are labelled and categorised differently elsewhere.
Anyway, I had been playing the following Mantra for revenge purposes
Om Aim Hreem Kleem, Chamundaya Vichye
But i found it unsettling. I couldn’t t put my finger on it. So I read up about it . It seems to have the same energy and purpose as the ANDRAS demon. It was suggested that the safe version was
Om Aim Hreem Kleem, Chamundaya Vichye Namah!
So, i listened to this a lot when i could. I did not find it unsettling or calming. A bit focusing.
Then one Sunday morning a few weeks ago, I felt someone was coming down the attic stairs and suddenly got an bright lucid image flash in my mind’s eye. It was a bright light blue woman’s face. Very much alive and awake with young skin that looked like it was peeling off a bit. She didn’t look stern at all, rather she looked assured with a smile of someone who knows a secret.
Simultaneously, I heard a blood curdling voice say “I’m coming"
It wasn’t like on TV because in TV they try a spooky voice but its localised and from one direction. This was all around me and inside me. Very loud and very genuinely scary. The whole body gets chilled and hairs standing on end.
I got a fright for a few seconds but luckily and then quickly realised this was an occult encounter and became very happy!
This is first time I’ve told anyone! lol
there was restrictions for kleem? or are the restriction listed just for the bhairav mantra?
They’re applicable to both.
These are where you begin working with them and then they lead the way and guide you.
Yes that’s her!! She has a comforting vibe to her, like a Mother. No wonder she’s referred to as Kali Ma.
i always experience mother kali as overwhelmingly loving and caring like nothing i have experienced before, aside from my own mothers love and even still the bliss and energy i feel from her presence is very powerful. she loves her children and treats them as a caring mother would and in my experience she ripped of the illusion of many false and hidden secrets and intentions among family and friends. she revealed so many things to me and i feel help change my life dramatically for the good, looking back and brought about a different level of realization and understanding not only in everyday life but on a spiritual and subconscious level. She is also ruthlessly protective, i am grateful and the process was not easy and i warn against engaging with her without proper knowledge and respect for her and her power.
Jay Shree Ram
So you have met her too? Have you heard her fiersome voice?
