Books that can be passed off as “normal”

I’m interested in investing into 3 or 4 books related to magickal work, but being that I live in an insanely superstitious Christian family I have to be very careful with what I look for.
Can anyone give me book recommendations that can be easily passed off as “Normal” or generic books that detail things such as:

Psychic defense
Spiritual growth (by meditation preferably but I’m not picky  )
The Left Hand Path
Self hypnosis
Infernal Geometry or magickal application for geometry in general

Or anything that is generally helpful to a mage as is.
Also if there is any books regarding spiritual uses for herbs that would also be awesome.

You won’t get these subjects with generic titles, that’s not how books get sold to their audiences.

Try looking for secular approaches to the same underlying concepts, like books on psychiatry.

For herbalism, look into prepping and foraging books.

Use kindle, nook or audible so there’s no physical book to see, and take up hiking to consume privately, and there’s apps like plantnet that help you identify plants growing wild.

Unfortunately may have assumed there may have been a niche market for the topic. Thank you though for the suggestions

I don’t know any personally but you can try and get pdf or ebook versions / copies and rename the file name to books you know of that can be passed off into fiction or etc, and if you really wanna hide the details edit the file to show pages from those books you renamed from and after a few pass it goes onto the actual material you learn. It will take time if you are new to the idea but once you learn it, probably would be the best bet!

You could probably get away with books on manifesting within a Christian context aka New Thought. The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by Catherine Ponder. The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol. Feeling Is The secret by Neville Goddard. The Course In Miracles Experiment by Pam Grout. Also her E2 and E3 books. Ye Are Gods by Analee Skarin. Quantum Jumping by Burt Goldman. Wishes Fulfilled by Wayne Dyer. It is Done! by Richard Dotts.

There are lots of books available on this subject. How to Learn Self-Hypnosis in a Weekend. Creative Visualization. How to Pray to Your Subconscious. Self-Mastery through Conscious Auto-Suggestion. The Manifesting Mindset.

This is a bit harder as usually LHP books have edge lord titles like “Power, Sex And Money” and “Daemonic Companions for World Domination.” Books dealing with lucid dreaming and astral travel like Dream Gates and Astral Paths by Edgar Kerval and Asenath Mason might be innocuous enough, though the cover art is pretty witchy looking.

Spiritual Cleansing by Draja Mickaharic. Protected by the Light by Bruce Goldberg.

Sacred Geometry: Language of the Angels by Richard Heath. How the World Was Made: The Story of Creation According to Sacred Geometry by John Michael Brown.

Literally the only thing I can think of is the book of psalms, not very left hand path and who’ll still some supplementary material to know how to use. Ariel Gatoga has free resources on psalms magic and it is all digital so you can hide.

I personally keep all my magic books on a shelf in my closet, except for traditional grimoires. I put them out with the rest of my books. I have books on so many topics that people who know don’t find it weird that I would have a grimoire. I built an image in others mind that lets me get away with a lot more. Maybe you could make yourself a reputation that would make certain books seem normal.

Or keep it all digital. Or fake covers.

I’m namely looking for physical copies due to the fact that the black on white text is hard on my eyes and I’m not really a listener when it comes to books.
I think I’ll be able to slip past some topics though such as geometry or defense.
Just gotta hope🤞

I’ve also been severely lacking on my reading anyways and I want to learn a lot more and really start having something to think about in my lazy time lol.
I tend to zone out when I’m doing activities like playing games and get really deep in thought but I want to start that thinking process regarding things I want to learn about magickally.

Hmm that is a tough one. But perhaps there is an alternative solution to your dilemma…

I got what I was looking for, thank you to @DarkestKnight for Spiritual Cleansing and Sacred Geometry
Furthermore I got Infernal Geometry and The Left Hand Path which is easy to pass off as Historical to my parents, and I got a book on Magick folklore healing from a way older post here on the forum.
