Blood offering

Well said.

I quite like offering blood, but I always ask, they can get offended if you assume. Sometimes because you assumed more than the thing itself.

Not just for blood but other offerings too, or an incense they don’t like. White copal seems to be pretty universally safe, but some of the fancier ones not so much.
I went and bought an artisan incense specifically sold as being for Samael once and he hated it.

The thing is, it’s not only about the offering in isolation, the energy of the offering mixes with your own energy in the ritual space and the unique combination within the relationship you have with them matters. So you can’t just trust that what works for others will always work for you, it probably will, but it’s best to ask.

Thanks for posting this :blue_heart: - I read about consuming offerings on behalf of the spirit as an alternative to leaving them out only recently.
The person described eating / drinking the offering really slowly in order to allow the spirit to savour it and I quite liked the idea of doing that as opposed to leaving them out to expire.
I think are many nice things that you can offer other than blood, i for one certainly wouldn’t be offended if I were a demon and someone wanted leave me chocolates and wine instead For a change

I’ve gone into rituals intending to offer one thing and gotten extremely worked up. On several occasions, I just went with it and made the offer. If it’s a love/ seduction ritual and you spill thinking about your target it, i.e. you’re providing BOTH a visualization and the feeling of success in your request, you’re good.

Damon Brand incorporates this as part of his rituals in Magickal Seduction. In Ritual 2, I think he has you do it 5 nights straight if I remember correctly.
That was a fun week

And those rituals are w/ angels!

Sound like you did the right thing, because you followed your intuition that it was what was needed at the time.

I think that’s the perfect way to do it. That’s your energy working for you and with you, not just following someone else’s ideas by rote.
