Blood anointed sigils in velvet bag

Can anybody tell if me if put blood anointed goetic demon sigils on cardboard with my petitions written on back tied up in a black velvet bag, would the power of the sigil be cut off? Would the magick still be able to go out and affect reality if the sigils were in the velvet bag?

Some materials are more permeable to energies than others. Traditional gris-gris bags in Voudon are made from red flannel, chamois, or leather, for example. Mojo bags and charm bags are also traditionally made from flannel, though some claim you can use any material. Tarot cards are supposed to be wrapped in either silk or cloth to prevent them from picking up stray energies. You might want to do some research into whether or not velvet has any properties that might interfere.

No idea about the velvet fabric (though I can’t see why it wouldn’t be used) but personally I wouldn’t use cardboard and blood in the same mix. Hygiene-wise and personally I treat cardboard as a lesser material, weak and trashy. But that’s me.

Traditionally velvet was actually made of silk. Velvet is a type of weave used while silk is the type of material (fiber).

Velvet is the name of the weave, it was often silk but could be cotton or other things. It’s kind of like rugs in that there’s a pile.

There’s days I haven’t find a velvet that isn’t synthetic. Vintage velvet clothing might be natural if it’s old enough.

The idea is that natural allows energy to move better than plastic, but I haven’t noticed much difference.

My own cards are in a wooden box these days. I got tired of the wrapping and unwrapping. Hasn’t changed a thing.
