Around about a year ago, I started working with Lucifer and Lilith and started my unique spiritual journey with all the experiences and revelations that have happened to me since. One of these experiences led to me manifesting wings in my astral temple. Fast forward to more recently, maybe within the past month, the experience has expanded. Now my physical body feels as if I have wings as well. I can feel like there’s something of some kind there. A few times I’ve even been able to get into a state where it’s more than just a slight, but ever-present ethereal feeling, it feels like they’re physically there. This is more recent, and has only happened randomly a few times so far, but it’s always interesting when it does happen. I can feel their weight and the movement from me flapping them or them fluttering.
Sure, but why? You don’t need wings to fly in the astral. Is this an aesthetic thing? Does it help you manifest your intent like you can’t levitate without them?
I sometimes flash wings to give an impression that is more intimidating though the symbolism. I do the same with astral weapons. I don’t need either, but they are useful mental tools.
Yeah, it is. It’s related to one of the revelations about myself and my past. It’s more of a symbolic thing.
Yeah, I don’t see why not, it’s fun and ime doesn’t really cost anything.
I don’t think I’d want to go too much down the route of identifying with them, or any construct around a biological appearance myself. I am much more than an incarnate animal, so I’d be leery of pigeonholing myself mentally so that I couldn’t think out of the box if needed, in the sense f thinking I have to adhere to physical laws and concepts in a non-physical space.
Having astral wings on you’re physical body can help develop you’re astral senses and make you more sensitive to energy. When you use them you get stronger mentally spiritually just having deeper meditation of being in a cocoon like a butterfly.
its honest relaxing and could be used for protection in and out of the astral realm. These wings are a manifested protection of your astral body from coming in contact with negative energy. Whenever I project or dream sometimes my wings fold around my body.
I don’t see why? I’ve had wings of a few styles and I don’t personally find that it makes any difference. This is one tiny aspect of the astral, there are many astral senses and vast realms to explore where wings would be irrelevant or get in the way.
Here’s the thing, there you are, flying around in vision, and whoops you notice those crystal wings or whatever aren’t there: what then? Oh, nothing. Because you were never using than as an appendage, they’re just for show. You don’t need them to fly, or do anything at all?
They’re an affectation, an artifact you can use for the appearance, that’s it really. You don’t HAVE a body, you don’t even have arms and legs. You are not limited by any kind of cosmetic appearance in the astral at all. You don’t need your mouth to eat, or your eyes to see. You can see 360 degrees if you try, and through the back of your head, or things you’re not even near. You’re not IN a body that needs these physical inputs or to interact with matter. The rules of the physical do not apply.
So the most use you get out of it, is for communication with other astral communicators that can see them and will make assumptions and conclusions based on your appearance. I can look like a hideous Lovecraftian monster or a mouse, it doesn’t matter except for my own purposes. Working in the astral is a matter of wits sometimes.
For me, the wings aren’t even about flying, and it’s not just about the nature of being in the astral for me. They’re important to me for other reasons. Revelations about my past and past lives, and how I want to connect with that again. I’m more interested in the second part of the post, my physical body feeling like I have wings as well.
On that note, might not be related but have you heard of the otherkin community? It was popular a couple of decades ago, where people who considered that they had past lives as non-human beings said that they could feel vestigial limbs like tails, horns and wings the same way it’s reported that amputees can still feel their arms or legs?
They would be able to sense them brushing against things, or find certain seating positions designed for humans uncomfortable and cramped, or even a little dysphoria that they couldn’t see them. For most though it was a very ephemeral feeling. (This was long before the furry community existed online and pushed these guys underground out of the ridicule those guys made from turning anthropomorphism into a fetish, otherkin is not a sexual thing.)
But you would have then, for example, people such as dragonkin, angelkin, faekin who felt they were getting bleedthrough from past lives as these non-human beings that had such things as wings, remembering their wings, on a very personal level.
I myself consider myself having past lives as non-human beings, but I’ve been a lot of things and I don’t feel a need to single any one of them out. But, I can choose to feel or not feel these things as they are to me, only memories - if I couldn’t control it I’d probably be a lot more bothered.
This might help, thanks! I’d heard of them in passing online, but never really looked into it. I wonder how many of them are into occultism, or if there’s any here?
Yeah astral work is definitely complicated but by believing that you’re astral wings would protect you it definitely would push bad spirits away. Understanding that astral shows you negative things that affect your physical life.
Pretty much. Believing your teddy bear protects you does this too. It doesn’t matter what your technique or device is, you are the Operator, you are one making It happen in whatever way works for you. The trick is to find what gets your energy flowing in the right direction.
Ideally, at the end of the day you use these because you want to, not because you are limited without them. They should not be a trap.
I’m loving how you think sounds like someone has be doing a little bit of experimenting.
Actually there is an exercise called “cultivating the astral wings” in a practice from a tradition I woke within in which you build up your own set of astral wings over the course of a year or so. Would you be interested to know the details.? It goes through intensive visualisation exercises. The bat & changeling are components of it. It comes from a background of European Witchcraft.
Hi! I’d be interested in hearing more about it!
